I'm just curious...I'm going out to dinner and would like to try them on my burger patty, but I'm not sure if that would be a good option for me.

    Thanks!

They are not on protocol and are a fungi. If it were me, I would wait until P3.

Most mushrooms are cooked with butter or oil if you are talking about cooked ones.

I rememeber even from when I did weight watchers that mushrooms were treated differently raw vs. cooked. Evidently they are one of those veggies that release more sugars once cooked.

Yes, I tried mushroom once on R1. I bought raw and cooked them myself with a little "legal" chicken broth, and ate them with my steak. And I gained the next day, so I am holding off! It's a shame, because I love them! just not worth it IMHO...

You can do a search at the top for recipes, and get an entire gourmet recipe book from another member...I got a few and can't remember who sent it (Thank you though!!!) But I didn't really follow a recipe, I just boiled my own chicken breasts with seasonings and celery. I ate the chicken and used the broth for other things.

Ugh Wish I had read this before I made mushrooms last night. I'm R1P2VLCD7 and have been doing pretty good so far with a loss everyday and total of 9lbs. Ate mushrooms and no loss today....
