So I finished my first round the week of Thanksgiving and was hoping I would not have to do another. Well, of course with the holidays coming through I did gain weight back. I decided March 1st was going to be the day to start losing all the 'holiday weight' that I had gained back.

I started and the first couple days were fine, but by the end of the first week I had already stalled for three days. I am back to losing some, but nothing like I did the first round. I was hoping to only do a 23 day cycle and be DONE, but I have only lost about 12 pounds on this cycle and it is driving me CRAZY! I only had ONE cheat day, and that was for my twin girls first birthday party. I stuck mainly to fresh veggies but had a couple bites of chips and salsa, but in the end, the next day I was only up .2 pounds.

I'm about ready to say the heck with it and just quit.

I was thinking the same thing last week. I had stalled for about 6 days, where I would lose a bit, then gain it back, lose it, gain it back, etc. I had decided that if I didn't see at least 2lbs of loss this week I was going to call it good. Well, today I am down 3lbs from what I weighed on Sunday, so I'm going to stick with it. My last injection will be on the 26th, so I'm hoping to lose at least another pound or two by then. The stalls just happen, and sometimes there is no real explanation.

if i'm reading this correctly, today would be the 15th day to register a loss- and you're complaining about only losing 12#???? what the heck did you lose your first round?

come on, gals- i've read a number of comments like this and they blow me away. first of all, the average for women is .5 to .75 per day averaged over the length of your round. cw- 12# is what i would lose by the END of a short round. plus,

    1) even a few bites of chips can stall you for a few days, and doesn't show up right away
    2) you could never hope to lose anywhere near this much weight on any other program.
    3) i don't know what you did your first round, but your weight loss for that will generally be higher- especially if you ate a lot of carbs prior to starting the program. when you initially stop eating carbs you will dump a large amount of water weight- and that does not happen in subsequent rounds.

i think an official whomping with a fried mozzarella stick is warranted. WHOMP! There- you need to re-evaluate your losses and be THRILLED that they are above the average.

i don't mean to pick on you- just trying to give you a loving reality check.... :)

Well, I'm sure I am one of the few, but I am a guy, not a lady. So if I have read correctly, guys should average more weight loss than women do. My first round I lost 38 pounds.

Do you still have a lot to lose? Maybe you are just losing slower this round because you are closer to goal weight? 12 pounds is still pretty good though.

I have about 8 more pounds to get down to where I was when I ended my first round which was my goal weight for that round.

    I'm a guy, and I don't average 1lb per day. I sure wish I did.

You say you started on March 1st (18 days ago) and have already lost 12 lbs. Thats great! Not sure what you are upset about. It also comes off much slower the closer you are to your goal weight.

The problem I see time and time again, is someone deciding how much they want to lose in a given round and then getting discouraged when it doesnt happen. We have no control over it.

Men CAN average 1lb per day, but its not an absolute.

I still think you are doing great..I know you want to quit because you aren't getting the same results as last time. But I would stick with it a bit longer, you never know when you will have a big woosh and a bunch comes off at once!

sorry cw :) But as caidan said, that weight loss is great even for a guy- it would be over the top for a girl.
