There is no need to count calories. But if you insist, how about 3,000 ;~)

Seriously, you really need to be eating lots of protein especially since this is a break. Go to the store and get steaks with lots of fat in them.

    Protein deficiency

Here too, the explanation is quite simple. During treatment the patient has been only just above the verge of protein deficiency and has had the advantage of protein being fed back into his system from the breakdown of fatty tissue. Once the treatment is over there is no more HCG in the body and this process no longer takes place. Unless an adequate amount of protein is eaten as soon as the treatment is over, protein deficiency is bound to develop, and this inevitably causes the marked retention of water known as hunger- edema.

The treatment is very simple. The patient is told to eat two eggs for breakfast and a huge steak for lunch and dinner followed by a large helping of cheese and to phone through the weight the next morning. When these instructions are followed a stunned voice is heard to report that two lbs. have vanished overnight, that the ankles are normal but that sleep was disturbed, owing to an extraordinary need to pass large quantities of water. The patient having learned this lesson usually has no further trouble.

LOL - still you need to be eating way more than you are especially the protein. Really this is going to cause you problems.

I'm trying Linda! I think I'm going to go ahead and count (Augh! Bad 5-letter word! Lol) calories tomorrow just to get a better idea of what I'm eating. I feel like I'm eating a ton but I know I'm not. I'm trying though!

I have no idea how much is enough!!! That's why I'm going to measure and count tomorrow. This is a shock. Linda, what do you think about starting back on the injections before I screw everything up?!?!

I think it would be a mistake until you get yourself built back up. You had lots of hunger for too long. It's kind of hard the first week or so to eat but you need to be sure to get those proteins in. I thought you said you like eggs. I didn't see that on your list of foods.

I also saw you saw that you went shopping for a scale before you ate breakfast then you ate eggs with no butter. Why no butter?

Make eggs fried in butter! Eat steak with all the fat on. Have pork rinds with sour cream dip. Eat bacon or sasuage that isn't cured in sugar. Have veggies with butter. Salads with creamy or oily dressings. Don't count and weigh just eat!

I had a hard time with the concept of eating MORE when I kept gaining. I have no idea how many calories I am eating, but pay attention to portion size. BIG chicken breasts, BIG fish filets, big veggie portions, and protein snacks. Peanut butter is now your friend. :) I drove myself to the edge with this, but figured all of these women could not be singing the same tune for nothing. I followed what I read here and voila, I have lost the 6 gained pounds and am even less than ldw, 2 days before round 2. They know what they are talking about. Relax, and trust them.
