How much water do you recommend drinking in P3? Do you stay at the same level as you did in P2?

I don't manage as much as I did in P2. I've actually decided I was drinking too much in P3. I usually tried to get in 100 oz but the more I drank, the thirstier I was. I think I was flushing out too much water. I feel better when I just try to do the 2 liters Dr. S recommended.

The rule of thumb for general good health is to double your weight and drink that much in water each day. However there are folks who are saying that we are flushing to many good things out of our bodies when we drink to much water.

Here's a link to what the mayo clinic says, it pretty much agrees with Dr. S but it does talk about everyone being different and our environment being a factor. Hot weather requires more fluid intake than mild temperatures, there are other things that dehydrate us like tobacco, stuff like that.

Anyway, here's a link to the Mayo Clinic's article: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/water/NU00283

I think it is half your weight and drink that much in ounces rather than double your weight. I may be wrong, though.

I think you're right, it isn't double your weight, that's for sure. I obviously wasn't thinking at all.

I have always been a big water drinker, I hardly drink anything else and I don't think I drink double my weight in water a day. LOL

That's a great calculator. I like how it takes into account your exercise level. Thanks for sharing that link!
