    I posted Monday about being 4.5 over LIW. I had a steak day and was down 2 yesterday, so 2.5 above LIW. Today I weighed the same. What do I do to get back down? I did high protein yesterday and I will again today. What if I don't go down anymore tomorrow? Steak day again? I am having serious bathroom problems. I think if I could just get that resloved then it would all resolve itself. I am on colnix for a cleansing and drinking smooth move at night. What else do I do to get moving? I sometimes think all the meat is causing the constipation. I am on day 14. I would like to get back to LIW but if I stabilize here that would be okay too. I am so tired of being ruled by food and the scale. I know it is only short term for long term benefits but it is truly agonizing. Until Monday I had only done one steak day and I was only 2.5 above LIW. The steak day took care of it and I was at LIW for 5 days and then I have been over 4.5, 2.5,2.5 the past three days. I think my body reacted poorly to milk and parmesan, and maybe almond flour but I can eat whole almonds. Don't get that.
    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    You really do need to get the constipation issue dealt with. Fiber is the issue. I grind up flax seed in a coffe grinder and mix a couple of tablespoons with water and drink it, I don't like the sugar free metamuscil (sp) because it has some hidden sugars in it but it would be better to take some of that than remain constipated. Add high fiber veggies too. Have you used the calm magnesium?

    Do you know what you ate before the 4.5 gain?

    I'd do a high protein day with no dairy or nuts and see how you do. Or you could try an egg day of 8-12 eggs spaced throughout the day. Probably if you can get the plumbing going, it will all go down!

    I had parmesan and mugg cake and gained 1.5 on Sun and then had lots of parmesan and 1/4 c. milk on sun for a 2# pound gain on monday. I didn't think it was parmesan b/c I had it on Friday and did fine but added more on Sat and even more on sunday. I did this because I ran out of moz. cheese and I know that I don't have issues with that. In fact eggs, moz cheese and raw almonds are the only things I know I don't have issues with. Everything else I have added I gained the next day.

    Yogurt might help get things moving. I blend plain yogurt with orange, strawberries, blueberries, and flax seed. That has helpped me in the past.

    Drink some magnesium citrate and it will get things moving fast! You can get it at Walmart, any pharmacy, etc around all the other laxitives. It comes in a 10 oz bottle and is usually clear, although I just bought a cherry flavored one the other day. If I want things to really clear out I drink the whole bottle. Generally I drink 1/2 a bottle and things start moving in a few hours.

    I'd bet that it's the plumbing more than anything. I'm not sure why parmesan would be a problem and that sure wasn't much milk. Have you had milk before?

    Another thing that works is mega doses of vitamin C. Do whatever you have to do to get the plumbing working.

    I don't think it would hurt do just eat steak and nothing else all day but the problem with that is it may make the constipation worse unless you make it steak with lots of fat on it.

    psjack-That's a bit harsh but would sure do the trick! Isn't that the stuff they have you drink before a medical procedure involving the colon? Then she could go to the calm magnesium to keep regular.

    Yes, it is a little harsh but you get FAST results and it is not that expensive. I wouldn't do it very often. It is better than the smooth move tea, that sienna is bad on your stomach if you drink too much of it.

    That was the first time I had milk since the starting P2.
