Does everyone do a 6 week break between rounds of phase 2. According to Dr. S he says to do 3 weeks of phase 3 and 3 weeks of phase 4 before you do another round of phase 2 but do you all really wait that long.

Yes we do. Your body needs that break to stabilize.

Doesn't stabilization mainly occur in P3 though? I've been thinking about cutting P4 down to a week so I can load on Easter weekend for my second round, but I'm not so sure... I'd like to hear horror stories from those who minimized P4's length--it will scare me out of doing it. Heh.

They are cycling when they are doing that. There isn't enough of a track record for me to be tempted to do that. We don't know how they stabilize long term. Dr. S mandated that break and even said a break was necessary after losing 34 pounds. I see way too much problem with people stabilizing in general with shorter rounds, etc. I'm pretty much of a purist. I don't want to run the risk of gaining it back.

Good advice, Colleen. I'll stick with the 6-week break. I think I was just thinking about all the good food my family prepares on Easter and I didn't want to miss out, but honestly, I haven't really been craving much of the things I usually crave. Even as I was saying to my mom that I wanted to pig out on Reese's PB eggs (even though sugars aren't advised for loading), it was really only out of habit--I've eaten Reese's PB eggs every Easter season I can remember. I guess if I want to break that habit, I have to just do it and not make accommodations for said habits.

    Thank you. :)

Is it the same for the 23 day rounds as the 43 injection rounds?

It's amazing how this protocol changes YOU if you let it. I love that!

Yes, the break is the same no matter how long the round, though I hate 23 day rounds and discourage them whenever possible.

I am new to blogging...why do you hate 23 day rounds? I ended my first round January 27th and lost 20 pounds. I am planning to start again on March 20th. Is it true you lose less if you do not load correctly? I think I read you are not supposed to load on carbs?

Hi New to forums wish I thought about looking weeks ago when I first started. I am 14 days from finishing P2 (43 days)and I know that I have to continue with the 500 cal diet for 2-3 days, then the 3 weeks maintenance phase (no white sugar or carbs) which puts me at or around April 20. I am then going on my anniversary trip to HAwaii for 10 days and wanted to start my next round after that. Is that a problem waiting the extra 10 days ? I have other questions but will look for related subjects first. Any help appreciated.
