I eat 2 egg whites every morning with my half of grapefruit, because I am always sooo hungry in the morning and I feel awful unless ive eaten. I only started doing this on day 22 and I am on day 26 now. I am still losing, so I guess eggs are not a problem for me, but I cant eat tomatoes. I stall every time, even if the rest of the days food is identical to a days food in which I lost the next morning. No more tomatoes for me. Really stinks though. I have found that I love doing pureed vegetable soup(just a protocol veggie with a little ff chicken broth and cooked and pureed) is like heaven. Very creamy soup(asparagus in particular) and filling. Everyone is different, I am almost at the end of my 40 day p2 and I feel like i am finally figuring out a few sensitivities. I lost much slower with the 1T of milk in my tea every day. I didnt think it woulf make mych difference, but am losing much more consistantly without it. Ive lost 14 lbs in 26 days. Slower that I had originally hoped, but still happy. I know things now that would make a 2nd round much more effective. I never gained, just stalled a couple of times. I actually did very well on ground bison the other day as well. Thought it would be too much, but I lost 1 lb the next morning. My body likes protein, veggies, and the melbas. Dairy i may have to be careful with in p3.
Keep in mind, you aren't likely to lose every day (especially women) no matter what you eat. Our body weight ebbs and flows, even when not dieting you won't likely weigh exactly the same from day to day. I think a lot of people blame lack of weight loss on some specific food when it could be a variety of factors, including water, hormones, or just natural ups and downs of the weight loss process. The only way to know for certain if you have a food intolerance is to get a blood test done, and true food intolerances are pretty rare. And, even if you do have an intolerance it doesn't always result in weight gain. My husband has been tested by a doctor for a variety of allergies, and he actually was losing weight eating the wrong foods because he wasn't digesting the nutrients in them (NOT his goal, he was too skinny).
Food intolerances are way more common than people think AND they are at the root of many, many problems with weight. Your body sets up inflammation. We see it ALL the time. Gluten is at the root of my weight problem. And while losses slow, anytime you GAIN, something caused it. Could be the food, could be TOM, but it's caused by something. Colleen
I could not eat oranges, tomatoes or strawberries in P2. The either stalled me or slowed me way down. I only ate 1 fruit a day and no melbas and I lost average for my whole round 1 pound a day! However P3 is difficult for me. I wonder why???
Thanks Grammy, I think I might need a new one though because I weighed just now, I know that's a no-no and it says I am at my LIW. How could that be I have been eating today since my morning weigh in. Dumb Scale!!!
