I've been using these three teas together for 4 days now. I've used Dandelion in the past as part of a cleansing regimen. I've never experienced "detox" symptoms before, but I am wondering if I might be now. I have a light rash on my back and I am EXTREMELY tired. I thought it might have been the time change, but 4 days later, I still can't kick the tiredness. I'm all for seeing this through if it's just detox and once it's done I'll feel better. Although, Dandelion can also have a sedative effect, so maybe that's all it is. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this. I would think that with the yerba mate and green tea that I'd be energized from all the caffeine.

Regarding mixing teas they are right about trying one at a time.
I started putting green and yerba matte and then put in a bag of dandelion and I lost a ton of water weight, that is all it was is water weight.
I got red little sort of dots on my arms and thought it was due to detox. It wasn't, it took me around a week of feeling bad and going to the dr. today to figure things out. It didn't hit me that years ago I was diagnosed with allergy to ragweed. I've been putting ragweed into my body, ugggg, dandelion root tea. I have been so dizzy unable to concentrate, severe runny nose, stuffed ears. I thought it wasa sinus infection. Until she said I was having allergies and then I put it all together. I will never touch it again, at least for me no dandelion and I will check to see which plants run in the dandelion family.
I would try things one at a time, I never knew that allergies could make a person feel so bad.

cafehonor. I had a few days of being completely wiped out. Yesterday I didnt do the dandelion and added potassium and electolytes and felt great. today I'm adding the dandelion back in as a test so, at this point not sure yet but I think it was I needed electrolytes because I am drinking way too much water

Whats your water intake? are you taking any supplements?

well, I didn't lose anything this morning. And I feel like I really detoxed last night. I don't think I will do the dandelion tea everyday. But I will do the Yerba Mate'. I'm going shopping today and will look for the other flavors. The only one I have tried is the chocolate. I really like it.

I dont think it is a good idea to do dandelion everyday because I don't think it is physically neccessary and also one day you wont lose after drinking it. It's like anything else, we get use to it.

Every spring I do cleansing with these herbs, and often once a month or so when I have been eating poorly and that radar is going off in my head.

There was something about steeping being an issue. Any root needs to be steeped a long time. If it is in a tea bag and powdered, a shorter duration might be ok, but truly for the cell walls to break down and release the constituents of any root, it needs to be simmered super low for at least 15 minutes and then left to steep a bit longer.

Dry dandelion root hasn't near the potency as fresh, so those of you that have green coming up from dandelions, it would be a good time to dig them out and use. (Lucky you-I wont see those for another month or more here in the mountains)
You CAN use the small dandelion leaves in your salad. They are not as bitter, yet they still assist the digestive system. When we eat bitters, we activate our digestive system from the mouth, stomach, pancreas, intestines. So keep that in mind too for those seeking potassium rich foods. Dandelion leaves can be eaten, but small ones or more palatable.

And something new I tried this week was kukicha twig which is a variation of green tea drinking in Japan. It is absolutely delicious and it kept my hunger at bay and gave me positive energy (not wiry energy I tend to get from coffee)
I think this is something I want to incorporate daily into my diet for the antioxidants and how good I felt after consuming. the hunger, virtually dissappeared to where I forgot about my meal. Sweet!
Of course doing that everyday probably wont have the same effect....lol but I will see

Where do you find 'Kukicha' twig? Is it already in a tea form? Bag or loose? I've heard of something like that. Just didn't know the spelling.
