Reading thru some threads, I read that we are allowed to have unsweetened cocoa powder, like the kind you use for baking. And it's considered a spice... Is that correct?
No? I looked up unsweetened cocoa powder and got this:

Not even close to being on protocol. High carbs and fat. I had posted this powder:
http://www.newvitality.com/shop/coco-pure.aspx
which is still NOT on protocol but I use on P2. It's 10 calories per serving so I skip my Melba toast and mix it with fruit. If I notice a stall or start to see a problem with my losses, I will stop using it. It's just a treat for me and I try not to over-do it.
That stuff is so expensive though! I'm just not willing to spend that and maybe have it affect my losses. Some people on here are "rogue" and they use cocoa powder. They also make cocoa crack with it- search for the reciipe. None of this is on protocol....
Remember it isn't allowed- its off protocol. Some people use it with no problems, others gain. Do a search for the exact recipe and to read others experiences with it.
Ok, the only reason I brought up this cocopure is because my neighbor and I both have used it. She lost her weight successfully and so far I've been successful as well. It's merely just to let people know that the cocopure exists in case they feel like trying it. I personally don't find it that expensive because it's keeping me sane. We both used it on P2 but I can't see how real cocoa powder, even unsweetened, is even considered on P2.
I agree, if it keeps your sanity it is worth it! But with shipping it is over $30, and I don't even know if id like it. It is something id be willing to try later, as a permanent chocolate replacement. Maybe after it gets a lot more reviews on here. Thanks for the info!
