I have not been losing as much as I expected. I have been using for one week. I went to a seminar last year here in Utah at Genesys Institute where both doctors discouraged any exercise at all. They were basing this off of Simeons plan. I am reading in several different places that it could be very dangerous. (passing out, dehydration, etc). But here people are saying that is a rumor. I'm not sure how a doctor or two would be basing information off a rumor, but I'm getting confused. What should I do?

Here is a link to Dr. Simeons protocol. Excercise is okay, just dont decide to run a marathon all of a sudden.

do you mean 1# since day one, or one pound since your first vlcd? are you following the original protocol? some clinics change it up.

I excerise a lot and am doing just fine.
Just dont overdo it with the high intensity cardio.
Ive cut back on the intensity of my workouts and added yoga, pilates and strength training.
Dont forget excersise is also good for your overall health, cardio, respiratory, muscles ect.

I'm losing slower than I expected - I'm only on day 5 and only lost 1/4 lb this morning so am wondering if its the exercise. I cant seem to not do it although I have cut down. I see mixed review about working out. Any advise would be appreciated - thanxs

If you've been exercising all along there is no reason not to continue. If you are just starting with the protocol then yes it could affect your weight loss.

You should be fine. I never stopped during any of my P2 phases. The only thing I had to do differently ( and this is completely off protocol) is i had to up my protein a bit because of fatigue to my muscles. Other than that I really didn't do anything different.

I have to add though that the only cardio i did was walk cause i hate to do cardio.........give me weights any day!!!!!!!!!! LOL
