Hm. Well it must be hitting my muscle because I dont feel hungry. Right? I have absolutely no hunger pangs at all. Would you have the affect regardless? Im injecting right below my shoulder. So when my should curves down, the needles is going in right below that. Maybe I will go back to the longer needles though. However, if it were subq, wouldnt a little blood show up in the syringe when I pull it out a little?
The reason we are using shorter needles is because they are what we are finding with the hcg kits you can order. Plus several videos we have watched use the same thing. 1/2" insulin needles.
Thanks so much guys! I really appreciate the help.
No, you wouldn't see blood. I've have on occasion hit a capillary when injecting in my stomach and had a little blood but that isn't a sign of subq, it's just a sign of hitting the capillary :)
I think the reason you aren't hungry is that you are injecting 175iu which is closer to a subq dose for most people.
The thing is, if she isn't hungry at all then it doesn't seem that the dose is the problem. I would think that they are both actually doing sub q so upping it to 200 would probably be okay but if there's no hunger I'm not sure it would make any difference.
In looking at how you're eating. I would cut out the shrimp since many are allergic to shellfish. I would cut out the orange too. I would also not eat after 7:00 and then that late might be just a snack of a cucumber or fruit. It would be best if your dinner were closer to 5 or 6 o'clock. If you could handle it, it may be best to cut out all the fruit or go to one a day.
I keep going back and reading your post and end up with more questions so I keep editing LOL
Are you getting enough sleep?
What kinds of beauty products are you using? Any lotions or oils on your skin? I thought about a friend of a friend who wasn't losing a single thing and it ended being because she was washing greasy dishes all day. As soon as she put on gloves the pounds started coming off in large amounts.
I dont wash dishes. We bought hand soap that has no oil in it (at least it doesnt have that word in the ingredients). I found that mineral make-up is ok, so I am using Loreal true match naturale mineral powder. And no, no lotions or anything. My skin is a clear sign of it. haha I seriously don't toucn ANYTHING that I know has oil. I dont clean anything with any cleaners right now. I never wash dishes. Tomorrow I'll give a list of the actual products I use for hygiene and what not.
So I guess I will lower my dose and use a bigger needle? I dont know.
It sounds like your dose is okay. Hunger is the indicator that there is a problem with the dose.
Try cutting out the foods I mentioned.
Did you say that you are working on planning your OWN wedding? Stress could also be a factor in this. Men don't stress about these things like women do. Remember your body's job is to protect you, if you are not getting enough sleep or under alot of stress it perceives that as a threat and conserves all it can. Even with that you should be seeing some loss so cut out those foods for a couple of days and see if you can cut out some of the stress and get some good sleep if you haven't been.
Forgive me if you already said you are but drinking lots of water and making sure to deal with any constipation are vital too.
I wish I had more advice for you but I can't think of anything else.
Thats ok. You have been wonderful. I will certainly try those things. Though i'm not allergic to shellfish.... I'll try some of these tips and let you guys know.
You can be sensitive without being allergic and it can manifest as a weight gain or stall. I dont consider myself allergic to seafood, but always stalled when I ate shrimp.
What I don't get about the whole "sensitive" to a certain food thing is that for one thing, your body MUST find energy from somewhere to keep you alive. So even if you are eating 200 calories of eggs or shrimp, and working out daily, you are creating a huge caloric deficit. Perhaps you will retain some water due to the inflammation associated with the allergy, but if you continue to create this huge deficit, to keep your heart beating, lungs functioning, etc. your body has no choice but to attack your muscle or your fat. Either way, you'd see a drop on the scale eventually, and while taking hcg, you'd see a reduction in body fat percentage rather than muscle depletion if it's working the way it should.
A food sensitivity/allergy doesn't always result in weight gain either. It can do the opposite. My husband has been tested by a doctor for various allergies, and he's skinny as a rail because he wasn't digesting those foods properly, and not getting nutrients out of them. He's very allergic to corn, soy and rice, which are in nearly everything. Thank goodness wheat, nuts, eggs and dairy were ok. Once we started reading labels carefully and buying organic, he started feeling much better and put on some weight too.
I suspect some people are quick to blame "stalls" on some certain food but unless you get a blood test to find out if you truly do have a food allergy, it's more likely just natural ups and downs in weight loss/homones/water retention. Or maybe the hcg isn't working and the metabolism is shutting down. There many variables to consider.
