    I am on my 6th day of the diet, bought some good stuff to make sure I had eveyrthing here and am completely lost when trying to put together a 'meal' for lunch an dinner.....

    Any ideas out there? Anyone just starting and needing a buddy, I need one too so feel free.

    Do a search for recipe's (try Linkan's (my spelling may be off))--you shouldn't have any trouble finding any. Another source is yourhcgdiet.com--Fran has recipe's there.

    Just make sure you note whether the ingredients are P2 friendly (many P3 friendly recipes can be modified for P2).

    Thanks to you both, I have beef, shrimp, crab, chicken brsts, celery, strawberries, grapefruits, tomatoes, lettuce, garlic and I think that's it.

    I am so new to this, I am not sure what P2, P3 is....would that be the 'phase' and if so, since I am in my first week, is that then considered P1?

    Okay, you have lots of good stuff!

    I weigh my meats in advance and separate them. Many of us cook our meats for the week and freeze/refrige them. Fruits and veges can be cleaned in advance ready to go in separate containers in the fridge.

    You want to eat 1 meat serving and 1 vege serving at your lunch and dinner. Your permitted 500 calories per day. You take the calories of your meats for the day and subtract that from 500. What is left is the amount of veges you can eat (calorie wize) that day. Eventually you kind get an "eyeball" of the amount of veges.

    Just remember not to mix veges at your meals. Only one vege per meal.

    Phase 2 is the diet phase, Phase 3 is the stabilization phase, and Phase 4 is when you get back to eating normal food.

    I found this from an email a friend sent me, this is what she uses, canned tuna is off protocol.

    poached fish, canned tuna, chicken with hot sauce, and laura's lean ground beef, steamed asparagus, pickles, grape tomatoes, cabbage now and then. I eat strawberries and oranges and 2 wasa crackers, drink iced tea and powerade zero, water of course.

    I made this taco seasoning (no sugar) and keep it in a glass jar. Use about a tsp to coat/flavor your chicken breast and bake at 350 until juices run clear (30-40 minutes since portions are small in size.) I eat it alone or as strips of chicken on lettuce like a taco salad. I am with Jenni, I weigh my meat when I bring it in the house and freeze in individual portions. I also use fennel, sliced thin, with the sections of half a grapefruit, a splash of apple cider vinegar and a little sea salt. Very delicious and very filling.

    If you want to whisper back your email address to me, I'll email you a recipe book for this diet. They have recipes in there for ground turkey which is off protocol so you have to check your allowed items but really I think that mey be the only thing.

    I cannot thank all of you enough for your help! I have all the good stuff, true. I am jsut struggling with what to make with the limited items. I do also prepare my lunches and dinners each Sunday, so organizing it all isn't my problem :-). It's being creative enough for 40 days, to be able to mix and match these ingredients into different things to keep me interested.

    Now today was my 6th day and I was STARVING.....not sure what that is all about, but started flushing myself with water and it held me over ok.

    So if I understand correclty, P2 (is only speaking of the 500 cal diet), P3 and P4 will come later....I guess that it starts at P2 is what confused me....what happen to 1? :-)

    The phases were coined by Kevin Trudeau. Phase 1 is the detox phase as per Trudeau. Dr S does not mention phases at all in his Pounds and Inches.
