I have lost 11.5 lb so far and I am on day 16 but have only been getting .2 lb loss for several days. An apple day resulted in a 2.2lb. drop a few days ago. I am using the hhcg plan and follow the strict protocol. I was going to stop the drops on day 23 but we are going to a dinner on day 21 and I will not be able to control the menu. I'm thinking of extending to day 25 with the drops and then doing the 2 transition days without drops so I have a little more time for dinner party damage control. Any reasons out there for not doing that?

You just have to be so careful that if you have HCG in your system, that fats, sugars and starches are going to make you gain...and fast. The minimum on protocal is 23 days,,,,,I am just worried for you that if you eat off protocol too bad you will see a gain.

I'm worried too. I'll pick through my food and avoid the obvious offenders, but realistically I will not be able to eat protocol and will probably encounter fats and maybe some carbs. Maybe I'll just have half a grapefruit or an apple in the AM to at least cushion for calories, then do an apple day on day 22.
How long should the "no HCG VLCD" continue after drops are stopped? I've read 2 (48 hr.) days, I've read 72 hours, and I've read 3 days. Can the "day" begin at any hour or does it need to be the AM?
    Thoughts?

72 hours after you last HCG dose...whenever you took it.

I have gone to many events with all kinds of food and I simply don't eat. If you eat off protocol in the last days of your round I think you will really regret it. Right now you're in a slow down which is really normal and should be expected. The best thing is to ride it out and let your body do what it needs to do. Your loses will no doubt pick up. At day 16 I was at 12 pounds net loss on day 23 I'm at 17 pound net loss.

On the how long after drops before moving into P3.... Unless drops are really differnt the protocol is 72 hours after your last dose. There may be something different to do with drops if it's hhcg rather than hcg.

Thanks for the advice. I'll talk with the hostess and see if I can either bring my own food or just sit with the others and chat. She is a friend but has a formal "dinner party" planned for several couples and I don't want to offend her or create a fuss.

Maybe you could sit next to someone who would let you put your food on their plate LOL

Actually if you have done 20 days you can take a planned break. Just remember that the hcg is in your system, however if you were to stop your drops now (or tomorrow) that would give you 72 hours to get the hcg out of your system. Then the day after your dinner you can start back up.

You still can't eat sugars and starches, but you can up your calories a bit and you will do fine.

I thought it was after 23 days. 20 "effective" injections 23 total injections.

    Gain before Loss

We distinguish between the first three injections, which we call “non-effective” as far as the loss of weight is concerned, and the subsequent injections given while the patient is dieting, which we call “effective”. The average loss of weight is calculated on the number of effective injections and from the weight reached on the day of the third injection, which may be well above what it was two days earlier when the first injection was given.

    Unforeseen Interruptions of Treatment

If an interruption of treatment lasting more than four days is necessary, the patient must increase his diet to at least 800 Calories by adding meat, eggs, cheese, and milk to his diet after the third day, as otherwise he will find himself so hungry and weak that he is unable to go about his usual occupation. If the interval lasts less than two weeks the patient can directly resume injections and the 500-Calorie diet, but if the interruption lasts longer he must again eat normally until he has had his third injection.
When a patient knows beforehand that he will have to travel and be absent for more than four days, it is always better to stop injections three days before he is due to leave so that he can have the three days of strict dieting which are necessary after the last injection at home. This saves him from the almost impossible task of having to arrange the 500 Calorie diet while en route, and he can thus enjoy a much greater dietary freedom from the day of his departure. Interruptions occurring before 20 effective injections have been given are most undesirable, because with less than that number of injections some weight is liable to be regained. After the 20th injection an unavoidable interruption is merely a loss of time.
