I hope they are able to get to the bottom of this. It sounds like they are working on it. I remember when my husband was like that, he ended up having
    his bowels blocked.

Thank you Shiloh for keeping us updated. Please let your mom and family know that they are in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you shiloh for keeping us updated. The mass could be any one of a million things, even something he ate as a baby that got hung up in his GI track. The vomiting and thirst was what got me worried about diabetes...but as I said, there are some very strange long lasting viruses going around this year too. He could even have mono....it could just be about anything. Do they know where in the abdomen the "mass" is ? right, left middle, etc? What it might be near? I've seen some kids wall off their inflamed appendix before...makes for a very strange looking mass on a CT scan.

My thoughts and prayers are with you guys, and with your health care team to find out and treat what ever this is. :))

They should have found out about diabetes pretty quick - it is one little fingerstick to know or not. if this fingerstick says yes then maybe a more detailed bloodtest....
strange thing though.. Hope they find out soon and can helper him properly
    My thoughts are with you!

birgit, yes a finger stick will tell what his glucose is....but just being sick will cause a higher than normal glucose too. So, it isn't that simple necessarily to tell if he has diabetes. I am concerned about this mass though....
