    I've been searching for a conclusive answer to whether or not we can use pertoleum jelly. Some say yes, some say no. My friend had laser resurfacing on her face and the doctor gave her Aquaphor to put all over directly afterward. I was picking her up and helping with her meds/instructions- he told us that it does not cross the skin barrier and provides a seal.

    I use aquaphor on my lips, crows feet, and hands every night when not on HCG.

    All of my Google research says that petroleum jelly doesn't absorb through the skin just like mineral oil doesn't. So does anyone have a source or reason for saying its a no, no? I found an HCG clinic that says it is acceptable.
