I'm a massage therapist about to start this diet. I have one huge concern! I use oils daily while massaging clients. It is not an option for me to wear gloves because I use my hands, forearms, and elbows during massage. I'm wondering if there are any other therapists out there that might have a suggestion for what we can use and not completely sabatoge this diet. I saw on a hgc blog that coconut oil is supposed to be ok. Is that true? If so I have already found a source for coconut massage oil. Help! I really want to do this diet and I can't quit work to do it!
Am curious about this as well as I am a PTA and I do massage all day-also have to use biofreeze which as camphor in it. I am still losing but I think more slowly- I am also more hungry during the week at work than the weekends. Don't know if this is d/t the creams or not.
you can use baby oil- the one with lavender scent is not bad, and your clients will understand if you tell them it is a temporary thing. when i'm on P2 i take it with me to my massages.
esen- i don't think the biofreeze will be too much of a problem, but it does have methylparaben in it which is a petroleum product. i generally use gloves when i use it on patients anyway. (i'm a PT)
