Wow, what a great thread. I *really* appreciate everyone's honesty. I think we just needed a safe place to share our dirty secrets, lol. I have learned so much already! And Margie, thank you for posting those bits from Dr. S, what a thoughtful, humble man he was. I'm so grateful to him.
Leigha, you sound like me. I had big struggles with hypoglycemia and had to eat more protein on R1. I also struggled with feeling very tired physically. This round i seem more stable in the blood sugar arena, yay! And more energy, double yay! It's only day 3, but i'm feeling positive.
I started another thread about injecting IM in the shoulder area with a 1/2" needle. As soon as i learn where i'm going to try that. Any reason not to switch from subq to IM midstream?
So, my rogue behavior with cocoa crack didn't hurt me. I lost .5 this morning. This is supposed to be my 40th injection morning. I am soooo on the fence about adding a couple days or being done with injections and moving onto P3. I am ready to have some new foods. Have stocked the kitchen with all the stuff I need for P3 and am dreaming of food I can chew or has new texture....
Ok today is the day that I a going rouge! Last round I was having major problems losing on P2 and the clinic told me to do a steak day and I finally lost. This round I just feel week and I sleep all the time. So today I'm going to do a steak day, maybe I need the protien boost. I only have like a week left on my 23 day round and I am also thinking of taking a one week break after 23 days plus 3 vlcd doing P3 and then jumping back into the shots for 17 days. I'll just have to see how I feel and what my travel plans are for then next few weeks. I'll keep you posted. Oh, and I have non dairy creamer in my one cup of coffee each day. That seems to get me going.
what on earth is the cocoacrack I keep reading about?
madmin-did you say coke zero? do tell I am a huge fan of diet coke and oh so miss it
emmaglow-I did a steak day just the other day. I have been super hungry and very tired this round, r3, didn't have these problems on my other rounds. So I did a rouge steak day. I ate all of my food that day except one apple and one bread stick. I had a pretty good size steak with a whole tomatoe, I also had a handful of fat free popcorn, and I was down a pound the next morning. My hungry and enery were also a lot better the next day. I did the same thing yesturday and was down .6. If it keeps you going than do it.
I have friends who have started their own business doing hcg, this is how i found out about it, they have a lot of modifications. I have not done most. But they lost a lot of weight and it was almost 2 years ago and they are both stable. I think the key is to hit p3 hard. do it right and you should be fine.
I read one of you is drinking protien drinks. what ones and where do you get them
TracyH...after I did the hcg last year I went to a nurse practitioner (fired my doctor) and we did a full blood work panel and she put me on bioidentical progesterone cream and that helped. Since then I've been researching everything I can find on hormones. :)I'm only 30...seems crazy but I think my hormones have been off my entire life. I'm so interested in hormones now...it makes me want to go back to school and get my NP or do endocrinology....
Beestly...are you taking supplements this time around? or what do you think is making this round better for you?
emmaglow...do you take supplements? If you feel week and tired you might want to add some mag/potassium...just a thought...
preskinnyme-no I ate all of my other food except one apple and one bread stick. the steak was about 6 ounzes maybe a bit more. for lunch I had canned tuna with chopped celery and apple with a bit of apple cider dressing, one of my favorites.
