I'm just getting back on track & have been off of here for about 2 wks & haven't got the new site down yet. I signed up & logged on a couple of times today but it seems a little overwhelming. I'm 'old school' when it comes to blogging, facebook, myspace, etc......that's why I like this site!

I've seen the dark side and it's pulling me! OMG. Forgive me my transgressions. The pull was too strong and demon alchohol sidled up to me in the wee hours last night.
I had a half glass of wine (beyond my 500 calories) at about 1:00 and I was HUNGRY!!
I'm still down a pound this morning, so evil's icey grip has not totally consumed me, but thoughts of replacing the apple cider vinegar in my salad dressing with Merlot is clouding my vision.
In the past, my worst sin was adding 1/2 a lemon to my day's intake.....and now I see where a seemingly innocent mortal sin such as 'more lemon' has led to much more dire consequences.
I'm off to do 15 'Hail Grammies' and absolve myself.

I was whispered by some that wanted information about doing some things that were not totally on protocol and did not want to be slammed before they even got started. So since I am not worried about that, I am bumping some older threads up. We are all on this journey and we need to learn how we are in control of this new experience. We have the guide to do it, it is our individual self that has to live it day out day in. I don't want anyone to think they are failures or are not welcome here to ask questions about something they have read or heard others doing. As most know we here will voice our opinions right off. Many of us agree to disagree on many things, but we all agree the Protocol works.

I think it's great to discuss things as long as we are clear what is and isn't on protocol. We have too many newbies who come on and off and we can't run the risk of leading them astray inadvertently by making them think something is on protocol when it isn't. So as long as everyone just says I tried this and it worked for me but it's not on protocol, then we're in good shape. :-)

I appreciate this thread immensely and the open-mindedness of the people on this forum in general. Who's to say we can't find a successful adaptaption of the protocol for each of us as individuals, based on our unique biochemistry, dietary needs and lifestyles? Simeon developed a one-size-fits-all diet, but it might not fit every one of us. I guess I am a rougue myself, I tend to question everything if it doesn't make sense or doesn't work for me, and I seek out alternatives that do work. I don't just unwaveringly stick to something just because someone said I should, if I'm not getting the results I seek or I am completely miserable throughout the process.I am thankful for all the tips and suggestions from the fellow rouges!

Straightscoop, Great post!! This is one of the reason I have maintained losing and learning so much new stuff about food, various products, and of course the protocol.
