I've read on this forum about some of you having some gallbladder problems. What are the symptoms? How can you tell if you are having any problems?

    I was wondering this, too.

When I was having problems with my gallbladder I had pain just under my right breast and under my right shoulder blade. I had stomach pains when I ate anything fatty or when I ate salad. When I ate too much fatty stuff I would have...bum soup...I love that term someone posted on another thread...for several days.

pain and tenderness under the right side of their ribcage, light-colored stool, painful indigestion, bloating, and gas. from -http://www.gallbladderguide.com/

What if you have all the symptoms except the pain under the ribcage? Does that still sound like gallbladder issues, or maybe just other digestive symptoms? My mom had her gallbladder removed many years ago. I have Crohn's disease, so I figured these other things were associated with that. Maybe not? Hmmmm...

When I am having an attack, I have major pain right in the center of my stomach, at the base of the sternum. It radiates to my back and feels like I have done something to injure my back. It used to take me forever to figure out that's what it was. I posted on the other discussion about a product I have used regularly called GallCleanse, or home remedies that involve drinking olive oil. That's all I know...

I have had that pain before, but not in association with the other things. It was hard to breathe, sitting up if I was lying down helped, as did stretching my arms above my head. Does this sound like what you experienced? It's been a really long time since the last time I felt that, however.

My cousin and her husband did the diet and each lost about 50 lbs over 2 or 3 Phases. The wife ended up in the hospital at the end of January and nearly died. She has been in (mostly in) the hospital and in ICU for weeks. They looked for gallstones and found out that she had pancreatitis and a large cyst on her pancrease. She only has one kidney. She had fluid on her lungs and an enlarged heart. Most of her problems have gone away, but the have not been able to do anything invasive because she was too ill to be put under any kind of anesthesia. Her cyst on her pancreas has shrunk by 50% and she just went home this week. She is still on pain medication and not able to eat but a liquid diet. Once she is stable they will go ahead and remove her gallbladder anyway. The doctor was given samples of the HCG and the Dr. Simmeons diet and he said that her problems come from rapid weight loss. He was having the HCG analyzed. I started the diet but I have no gallbladder and my weight loss has been pretty good. My 40 days ends in 2 days and I have lost 22 lbs. Would like to lose 30 more so I will do another phase. I am having my PCP monitor me. My cousin and her husband bought the HCG and supplies from somewhere in Canada and were not under Doctors supervision and they followed Dr. Simmeon's diet to the T - no cheating or "tweeking the diet". Just thought I would share this information with others. My cousin nearly died and she is far from out of the woods. I think it is important to have your Physician monitor you if you are doing this on your own.
