    So, I have been struggling with stabalizing my weight in P3....my LIW was 176lbs but my first week on p3 is when my TOM started so my weight jumped to 180lbs for a week...I wanted to pull my hair out!!! Well, after a week of trying to decided whether to do a steak day, I attempted to do a "Protein Day" and then my weight jumped to 181.2lbs....WTF?????

    So, yesterday, after almost losing all hope, I went to the store and bought the biggest juciest steak I could find (never knew how expensive steak was because I am not a steak person)....I drank water and herbal tea all day and then around 6:30pm, I had my steak and then around 10pm, I had my apple and some smooth move tea...I just weighed myself this morning, AND I AM 176.4 lbs.....someone PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT TO ME...I am in the twilight zone...dododododododododo...where did the weight go? (I'm not complaining, but 4lbs in one day??? WOW)...

    So, I am here to tell everyone that the steak phenomenom (i know I cant spell...) does work after 1 week of consistently being over 2lbs of your LIW, because it worked for me. But I was very strict, didnt use salt (used ms. dash, but it was still tasteless)...drank lots of liquids and had a nice juicy apple...so I am Keeping Hope Alive!!!

    Glad it worked for you! You can use salt on steak day though, just so you know.

    Oh, I can?? I read the posts and I thought someone said no salt...bummer the steak would have gone down a lot easier...but thanks for letting me know though Colleen...

    Next time you can use garlic salt and flavor it up a bit. That steak day works like a charm if you follow the protocol. :-)

    Oh...garlic salt...that sounds tasty...your absolutely right the steak day works like a charm...I followed the protocol to the T but I was very skeptical because it had been more than a day since I was 2lbs over my LIW...it was almost a week...so I was very pleasantly surprised!!!

    Hi ladies I did staek day after I ate like a pig in the 24&25. I gain 5lbs, after steak day I lost 2.5lbs, but I started my periond so that could be the extra 2.5lbs. I didn't know that I could have an apple on steak day. So can I try it again.

    Yeah, I wish it worked that way for me. I was up 5 lbs after Christmas day, had a steak day, went down 2.5 lbs., and there my weight has sat. I gain, I lose some of it, and the rest hangs around, waiting for the next gain. Very frustrating. I'm now 2.4 lbs. above LIW, where I was below it all through P3 and into the first week of P4.

    Steak days are fabulous :) I just had one yesterday and dropped 3.2 pounds. I guess mileage varies though. I've had a few of them since Thanksgiving because it's that naughty eating time of year. Some I've lost just 2 pounds, others 2.5, 3, and on one of them.. 4.5. I seemed to do best with a bigger steak. The one I had last night was about 1.5 pounds. I season mine with old bay which doesn't seem to hurt at all and flavors it pretty nice.

    I think the apple is for the fiber...but the weird thing is that I only had to wee-wee so I am just curious about where my 4 pounds went to....
