I've gotten my drops and will start loading on 1/1/09. I have about 60lbs to lose. I'm confused about the protien portions. It says 100 grams of chicken---is that cooked or uncooked?
Also, what are your suggestions? I know that I need to drink plenty of water. I'm trying to schedle to be off work for the first week of the diet because I read that it makes you very tired. I'm assuing that subsides eventually?
Thanks for any suggestions/comments that you guys can give me!
It is uncooked. Read Pounds and inches. It will answer a lot of questions for you. As far as being tired, I experience the opposite of that. I had way more energy and was never tired. I have been really bad the last week and have gained 5# back. I have been extremely tired this week. I am looking forward to starting next week so I can get back on it and not be tired anymore!
legallady: it would be good to know the protocol very well. Will help you. Of course, you can ask any question here and most likely find the answer to most any question somewhere because it most likely has been asked before. Dr S. said use a postal scale but, current digital scales are acurate to 1/10 th g. Weigh raw after cutting off excess fat. You'll find that the cooked weight is pretty close to 80% of the raw wt. We have ceramic coated cookware and dry-fry (the pan wipes clean with a clothe or paper towel) Just as it finishes cooking, we pour in some water to moisten. Use any desired spice to make it interesting. If you do a good job of loading, you may be very suprised that you aren't tired. The Hcg will dump the 'wharehoused fat into the bloodstream for nutrient as needed!
Oh and I didn't mean you can't ask questions here, I just know that once I was able to really read pounds and inches I understood things a lot better. I am reading it again this weekend to refresh myself for next week! Definitely joing the 2010 party lounge! It is going to be fun!
I got my scale at Walmart and it works really well.
Legallady - On the spices...... you really need to be careful to read the ingredients. Many of them have sugar and/or oil in them. I was amazed to see oil in garlic powder. McCormick has the biggest slection of sugar free oil free spices but you still need to check the label. Also check for names that are hidden sugars.
Erecca-I got my digital scale at Target. It works to the 1/10 #. It's a Taylor brand. I did discover that you cannot store it on it's side (like for storage). It really messes it up. One day you'll weigh 105# ( not) and the next you might weigh 96#....lol. So keep it flat on the floor. I like it alot. Julanne
Erecca I got my digital buddy at Walmart :o) I am hoping to start R2 within the next week or so! Which means we will be running neck & neck again my friend :o) This time I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will not have any medical dramas pop up LOL Although that was a pretty awesome medical drama & I am pretty darn proud of myself for being able to keep the weight off on P3 while surviving on hospital cafeteria food for the most part & only being up 2.4 on P4 :o) YEP I'm bragging LOL I am soooooo excited to get this party started again!!!
