Ok, so I started on the HCG shots and was given by my physician Dr. Simeons diet to follow. I understand the 500 calories a day thing and have no problem with that whatsoever; the problem I'm having is the "crap" veggies you have to choose from. Like who is going to eat spinach with nothing else on it? What the heck do you do with that? Out of the entire list, I will eat the asparagus and the cucumber. That is not going to cut it; twice a day for the next what, 30 days?????

Is anyone else having this same problem? The other problem I have is that it doesn't say how much of these veggies I can have also, then what about the fruit? A large orange has more calories than a small orange so which can you have? Also, if you can have 3oz of asparagus, why can't you have the equal of green beans or something that could be similar to asparagus?

I am so totally confused about this and I am hoping there are the "experts" out there that can help???

It seems after researching the internet for the entire day today, that you might be able to eat "different" foods or a mixture of the foods on Kevin's diet. Am I wrong here?

No, I didn't have that problem. And no, the vegetables listed aren't all my favorites - some of them I don't like much at all. But eating my favorites is what got me 50 lbs overweight, so I figure I can handle eating a few things I don't necessarily care for, for a little while, in exchange for being the weight I want to be.

I don't love alot of the veggies either, cucumbers, asparagus and lettuce and tomato's are pretty much what I live on.

sorry, the list is the list. :-( I ate mostly cucumbers, salad, asparagus, and cabbage. One thing I found I love is to run cabbage through the food processor then saute it in chicken broth and use it in place of rice. So I can top it with chicken or fish, or add shrimp and garlic to it for shrimp scampi. You don't weigh your vegetables either. You can eat what you like of them. And you can eat any size of fruit you want.

My clinic told me to weigh my veggies???!!! 3.5 oz is what they said I could have, just like the protein. Now I'm afraid to not do that? What if I ate more and started not losing as much? Yikes!

Nyata - I don't know how you feel about vinegar but I steam my spinach and put vinegar on it. I also soak my cucumbers in vinegar and pepper, like homemade pickles.

Really this isn't about the food. If you want to loose weight bad enough you'll do it. If I was told I needed to eat cardboard I would have done it. The fact that you're not hungry will help a whole bunch.
