    im sooo depressed, i know i posted the other day at of my stall, but it really sux, monday( tommroorw ) will be my 3rd monday doing this and ive only lost 6.5 pounds ... i have not cheated weighed all my meat, and veggies, maybe ill cut back on spices, i dunno i feel like ive been kilin my self/ tourcheirng myself, all these 3 weeks with barley nothing to show for it, im never gonna loose the rest of it, i want to quit!!! but.... i will try at least for 2 more weeksif nothing happends by then..... ( oh yeah and TOM couldnt have anything todo with it, i wont get it till like 1/1/2 weeks more ....

    wow! i would be really upset too but hang in there! what are you on 20 or 40 day? oral or injection? and how much was your starting weight? and what are you at now? how much do you want to lose total?

    Is there anything else you could be doing that would hinder you?? Are you using liquid makeup? Lotion? Perfume? Face moisturizer? Exercising too much? Check your spices...do they have sugar? Are you eating melba toast? Drinking AT least 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day??

    wouldnt exercising too much cause weight loss and not stalling?? and half body weight in ounces of water every day is almost impossible for me so i stick to half gallon, is that bad?? and whats wrong with 2 tiny melba toasts per day? its on my diet and my doctor is using the exact diet as dr.s plus asks to take fiber and water and 15 minutes of physical activity...just curious lilskigirl cause you probably know more than me? thanks.

    Do check everything like lilskigirl said. Sometimes it is surprising what you find in spices and lotions and makeup.

    Are you very active? When I first started I wasnt very active do to a severe sprain. I lost okay but nothing to write home aboaut. Once I started moving around more and just walking, my losses doubled. I'm not talking about excercise persay, just burning the calories needed for weight loss.

    Jen. It is VERY importatnt to drink enough water. People who skimp, seem to slow their losses. AS far as the melba toast, many people find it makes them crave more carbs. Not everyone is the same. Depends somewhat on your personal history with carbs and how your body reacts to them.

    also did you measure are you losing inches sometime a person will lose inches before the lbs

    caiden- the melba toast helps me crave carbs less actually cause im getting "some" type of bread insted of "none" and my diet says half gallon to a gallon of water its hard for me to even take in the half gallon of water should i be ok? sometimes i may drink a cup more than half gallon but im trying to meet the minimum cause its hard to drink a gallon a day, thats just crazy to me.

    No Jen...your body is o0n the verge of starvation with this diet. A walk and light exercise is ok but too much activity will put your body into starvation mode and it will hold on the the fat instead of releasing it...DR. S says this in P&I "Finally, the weight can temporarily increase - paradoxical though this may sound - after an exceptional physical exertion of long duration leading to a feeling of exhaustion. A game of tennis, a vigorous swim, a run, a ride on horseback or a round of golf do not have this effect; but a long trek, a day of skiing, rowing or cycling or dancing into the small hours usually result in a gain of weight on the following day, unless the patient is in perfect training."


    About the water...It is a must on the protocol that you have 1/2 your weight in oz of water per day. Your body is releasing fat and you need to flush it out with the water. It will also break down the connective tissues and on those days you'll need a little more water...Dr.S says this..
    Water
    Patients are usually hard to convince that the amount of water they retain has nothing to do with the amount of water they drink. When the body is forced to retain water, it will do this at all costs. If the fluid intake is insufficient to provide all the water required, the body withholds water from the kidneys and the urine becomes scanty and highly concentrated, imposing a certain strain on the kidneys. If that is insufficient, excessive water will be with-drawn from the intestinal tract, with the result that the feces become hard and dry. On the other hand if a patient drinks more than his body requires, the surplus is promptly and easily eliminated. Trying to prevent the body from retaining water by drinking less is therefore not only futile but even harmful.


    The melba toast is ok...if it works for you...I did not lose as well when I ate it so I stopped and I have much better numbers.

    If nothing else I encourage you to get in your water...it is VITAL! I use a 32oz cup and make tea in it...

    maybe i will cut out the melba toast, increase the water intake and only take a 15-20 minute walk? what do you think?

    I would bet that you see a huge increase in your losses Jen! I know getting all that water in is hard but the benefits are worth it...so is your health!! Your body is pushing out so much fat so quickly that if you don't have enough water it can't keep up! GL!
