But see if it hampers you. I love having cabbage and had no problems with it. :-)

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! I will definitely be loading - especially since I have a 5 Guys Burgers right down the street!

Colleen, I had to laugh at the coffee creamer... but so true! I think that's going to be the toughest for me to give up. I LOVE my candy coffee ;o(
But DON'T love what it's done to me over the years ;o)

I've seen some P2 recipes - where is a good place to find more?

I was surprised to learn about the salt. That's something I hadn't seen yet. So salt is totally okay? That seems strange to me, because every other diet seems to limit salt consumption, and I've got the mindset that it must be terrible. Maybe being able to have salt will make up for losing the creamer!

I've also seen mustard, garlic, vinegar in some of the recipes. These are totally okay as well?

Salt is totally okay. so is mustard, garlic and vinegar. :-) If you email me at colleen@colleencoble.com, I'll send you a gourmet recipe book I found online.

Most spices are okay just make sure there is no added sugar. I think some garlic salts add sugar in.

Salt is fine, but be careful, you don't want to retain water.

Sea salt is the best! I've used it for probably 10 years. Just make sure your salt intake is about the same every day and there should be no worries. :-) If you have a bunch more one day than the day prior, you'll retain water, but it's not a big deal if you remember it will come back off. Don't freak! :-)

Ditto on the measureing and picture taking. Also remember it is only 40 days no more and you can do anything for 40 days. That's just a little more time than it takes for a house payment to roll around and we all know how fast that happens. hehehehe. Oh and stawberry vinegrette dressing is to die for!!!!

A tip about the burgers? Don't eat the bun. Eat the meat, certainly, but the bun is just starch, and that doesn't help you with loading. Save the room the bun would have taken up for a milkshake, or a bowl of ice cream, or a couple of slices of cheesecake. Then, when you're so full you want to burst, get a bowl of cream cheese and go to town with a spoon.

About the salt: you're going to be flushing a LOT of salt out, with the quantity of water you'll be drinking. You need to replace that.

Thanks.... I totally would have eaten the bun. I'm not a big ice cream eater, but I guess for those days I will just make the exception. Would an omelet (with all the meats of course) be a good load item? Or should I just fill up on the bfast meats instead?

This has been a great thread. Getting a good laugh reading about the loading, what sell for a diet, lol!

I think i may have to go away for the weekend to load next time, just to have time to eat that much. There is a place in my area that makes amazing, super rich chocolate mousse and lava cake, not overly sweet. I will be spending some time there.

My dream for loading would be to visit an amazing BBQ joint in Murphysboro, IL called 17th Street Bar & Grill. It is the best I've ever had. Supposedly the 17th Street Bar & Grill also has a location in Las Vegas. Hmmmm. It's only a 7-hour drive for a 3-day binge. LOL
