These stand for the different phases. Dr Trudeau marked the diet with phases. Phase 2 is the Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) the 500 calories and the HCG, Phase 3 is the no sugar no starch phase, phase 4 is when you slowly add in sugars or starches.

LIW/LDW = Last Injection/dose weight. That's the weight on the day of your last injection/dose on the reduced calorie portion of the diet.
P2=The strict calorie portion of the diet. VLCD = Very Low Calorie Diet = the strict calorie portion of the diet.
P3=The stabilization phase of the diet. Typically 3 weeks, although some go longer. No starch, no sugar. Starches include all grain products (bread, crackers, flour, cookies, cakes....). Some people also avoid highly sweet natural sugars, such as that found in pineapple.
P4=The normalization phase. This is where you reintroduce sugar and starch.
hhcg=Homeopathic hcg. Should not be confused with the pharmaceutical grade hcg.
sq = subcutaneous. This is one method for injection of the hcg. It uses a short needle, typically 1/2", which allows you to inject into the fatty tissue below the skin.
IM = intramuscular. This is the alternate method of injection. Uses a much longer needle, typically 1.5", which allows you to reach muscle tissue.
sl or sublingual. This is an oral method of administering hcg. Can be done with either hhcg or pharmaceutical grade hcg. Place drops of liquid under the tongue and hold it there (without swallowing) for varying periods of time before swallowing.

I understand sooooooooooooo much more now...especially the fact I must be doing Dr Trudeau's diet or had incorrect information. In addition somewhat confused as to what diet I'm on..I didn't know about the detoxing..still confused on what oz of uncooked protein.
Nevertheless, I'm on the right path thanks to you both.
The detoxing is not necessary. Trudeau added that.
The oz of uncooked protein, which should be white fish, chicken breast or beef, is about 3.53 = to 100 grams twice a day for a total of 200 grams for the day.
Please read Dr. Simeons protocol. Things will be much more clear. but ask if you have questions.
I don't think any of us did Trudeau's protocol but we use his terms of P2, P3 and P4. :-) It helps differentiate the different parts of the protocol. Colleen
What do you suggest I do? I've been eating 3-6 uncooked oz of chicken breast, lean meat and fish. One veggie; lettuce, tomato, cabbage. 2 fruits; orange, apple, grapefruit.
I'm getting ready for maintence days as I m about to finish my first 45 days.
the best advice we can give you is to read Dr. Simeons protocol. Several times over and then see what questions you have.
It really is very important that you do that. I remember you said "a friend gave me what she had as far as the diet goes". If you read it for yourself you have the complete protocol and better understanding. It really isnt that long.
