Starting my fourth week and only give myself my injections in my hips.. I know some go with the stomach. I am wondering about arms?? Anyone know? I would hate to hit some kind of nerve. I have already hit that one in the rear hip once or twice.. don't care for that! lol

I went through a clinic and they would only let me inject in my stomach an inch away from my belly button. I want to say I have read of some people injecting in their arms, but I don't want to give you the wrong information. Ouch about the nerve hitting, Lol! Be careful. Lots of people go through the stomach I think because there's more fat there? IDK. Well, sorry I wasn't any help. Hehehe.

That's fine Jessyca.. thank you.. I was wondering about the as well.. my legs have really thinned out and that is NOT where I am wanted to thin out. I am going down everywhere else as well so I am happy.
Just wondering if what you pointed out about where I give my shot,, will I lose more in that area?? hummm...;-)

I never understood why people could inject in different areas. When I did have to do my injections, I had to pinch the fat around my belly button and inject that. Not sure why. It never hurt, though and I don't think you would run the risk of hitting a nerve like that. I bet somebody on here knows.

Yeah I hope so Jess,, If it would do me better in my mid section I will shoot there for sure. My needles just seem sort of long to be going into the stomach. I guess we have more fat there than we think! ;-)
I am just tierd of going into the hips.

Hey Jimmy... its hard to answer your question without knowing what type of injection you are wanting to do... subcutaneous or intramuscular... and how many units are you injecting... and what size needles do you have (gauge and length).

injection sites have nothing to do with the location of weight loss... it would be nice if they did cuz i know exactly where i'd be injecting myself everyday, straight in my stomach and booty! =)

i'm sorry i just re-read one of your comments with you stating you usually go in the hips... so i'm sure you are doing the intramuscular route. You can not inject yourself in your stomach with IM needles... stomachs are used solely for SC injections with small needles.

Intramuscular injections are often given in the deltoid, vastus lateralis, ventrogluteal and dorsogluteal muscles. However, Dr. Sim recommends gluteal (upper outer quadrant of the buttock where i'm sure you are already going). Deltoid sites (upper arm) are very easy to self-inject, you can only inject amounts less than a cc but i'm not sure if hcg is appropriate for this site since some medications are very caustic to the surrounding tissues and should always be given in a large muscle area (as in the upper buttocks). I haven't started hcg yet but when i do i'm gonna try to alternate both buttocks and then using the outer aspect of my thighs. I'm a nurse and if i can't roll over any of my back surgery patients then i will give them their im injections in their thigh.

To find the thigh injection site, you will be making an imaginary box on your upper leg. Find the groin. One hand's width below the groin becomes the upper border of the box. Find the top of knee. One hand's width above the top of the knee becomes the lower border of the box. The center of the top to your leg becomes the left border of the box. The center of the side of your leg becomes the right border of the box. The best areas to use for injection is in the middle of this imaginary box. Stretch the skin to make it tight. Insert the needle at a right angle to the skin (90 degrees) straight in and make sure you pull back on the plunger to make sure there is no blood so that you ensure you are not in a blood vessel.

It might help to actually draw these lines on your thigh the first couple times until you get the hang of it... try googling to and i'm sure there will be landmark diagrams that will help you visualize where the site is since this site isn't as large as the buttocks one.

Sparkles.. wow.. thank you very much.. I think I will just stick to the hips.. yes I use the longer needles. Not sure the size, but the nurse at my clinic told me hip and she did mention the leg, but more difficult than the hip ( side of the ass ) lol..
So I will just keep to what I am doing.. if it does not matter where I lose, then I am good right where I am! ;-)

    Thanks again!
