I have not seen much on this product here. I see there isn't any of the "no no" stuff in the jar I bought right off the shelf. However I do see 250mg of Sodium in a 2 tbsp serving and 5 calories. Is that just TO MUCH sodium? I sure would think so.
Just trying to find some hidden treasures before I start my 4th week on P2.
thanks for asking this, i always mean to ask about things i see in the store and want to buy but then i never remember! i would love to be able to add things like that if they are allowed.
I've used sauerkraut occasionally as a veggie. I don't eat a large portion- I'd say a cup or less and no more than twice a week- just because of that high sodium which can cause you to retain water. I haven't noticed any negative effects or stalls as long as I don't go overboard. :) A cup of sauerkraut with chicken and mustard is like heaven!!
Thanks MJ - Yeah I also have things I eat only twice a week or so.. I buy 4% ground beef and make thin little 95 gram patties. I think I just might try them topped with a little horseradish and sauerkraut!! I will just go low salt on my other meal that day to try to keep the sodium down. ;-)
I bought soda water today and put vanilla creme stevia in it and my gosh it tasted so good and felt like I was having a creme soda I might have to buy other flavors now like orange and rootbeer It does have 40 mg of sodium so I must be careful but it does help me drink the water. I hate water even with lemon in it.
