It's in Simeon's original manuscript...you can have one whole egg plus the whites of 2 or 3 (?) additional eggs instead of your 100 gm of protein for a meal. Read the original manuscript to get the details.
Okay, I look at the Dr. S. Pounds and Inches and cannot find eggs anywhere. :-( I looked where he talks about what to specifically eat. Any suggestions? I would just love to add eggs to this. I think it would help, A LOT! :-)
You must not be reading the real Pounds and Inches. There are quite a few mention of eggs in the ms.
Many patients ask why eggs are not allowed. The contents of two good sized eggs are roughly equivalent to 100 grams of meat, but unfortunately the yolk contains a large amount of fat, which is undesirable. Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw - to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole. In countries where cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat, but no other cheeses are allowed.
Thanks guys. Is the simeon's protocol not the original one listed at the top of the website on the left??? I have the original in an email. I will look at that.
That's good to know Barb. I think i will try it, just for a change. I had shrimp for Thanksgiving and it really helped me get through the holiday because it was different than what I had been eating.
the link at the top, left is the original protocol. I think the egg part is listed under the vegetarian, or other variants to the menu. It is not with the regular menu portion of the manuscript. Just keep scanning downward, you will find it.
