This is my second time mixing but given Fran was out of stock I ordered from a different person my girlfriend recommended and sent different syringes in her kit. I am injecting in my belly and I've seen suggestions of 175 iu - 200 iu's. She sent Easy Touch Syringes which I've used before but the ones I had before noted .3cc's, these show .5cc's, say U-100 Insulin...on the syringe itself it goes up to 50....I am college educated and far from dumb but I for the life of me can't figure out how to calculate IU's.
I have a 5000 amp of Hucog, I plan to do a short round this time and based on Frans instructions I would fill my mixing vial as follows:
Using a large syringe, withdraw 25cc of bacteriostatic water.
1cc of bacteriostatic water (from the filled syringe) is injected into the original hCG ampoule, ensuring this is done slowly down the side of the glass, avoiding the needle touching the glass. The powder will dissolve almost immediately, with a gentle swirling of the vial. Carefully swirl the vial until mixed well.
DO NOT SHAKE!
The remaining 24cc of bacteriostatic water is then injected into the new glass vial.
With the large syringe, the 1cc of hCG is drawn and injected into the sterile glass vial, containing the 24cc of bacteriostatic water.
1 cc of the new mixture is drawn into a new, disposable syringe for each injection, providing (25) 200iu doses.
My question is please confirm this is correct and what level do I fill the syringe for the correct injection amount. I feel so utterly confused....
It's ok....generally 100 iu" (international units) equals 1 cc or ml. you have 0.5 cc syringes, so they only go up to 50 iu's. But, know that an iu is an iu...so we just need top calculate your dosage. have you mixed your hcg yet? hopefully not, so we can cut down on the amount of dilutant used.
No, I haven't because I was reading somewhere that 10cc's is more what I really need but then I also read somewhere that 5.67 cc's was more like it....24 cc's sounded like alot....*sigh*
I believe the 50 is .5cc???? What confuses me is that it says "U 100 insulin" which to me means 100 units but that may be wrong. I'm gonna try to find them on line and see what they are. hang on
With half cc syringes, you want to mix as Linda said. Any more dilutant than that and you will need to get other syringes, or do more than one injection per day.
