    Hi All,

I was on day 20 of the VLCD (I only planned to do 30 days of injections) and I was doing very well. Feeling well physically and feeling much much better mentally. And until yesterday I had no desire to cheat and the weight loss was so so (I am over 200lbs so I thought it would be faster). But yesterday I cheated. I had a super bad day (no excuse) and just went overboard. I drank 2 pints of beer and ate chocolate covered almonds and a few crackers. I felt so sick last night. I had bad stomach aches all night and only felt better after 2pm today. BUT....
I did not gain any weight. Instead I lost 2 lbs? I am a little worried and confused because I read everywhere that when you cheat you gain immediately the next day.

So how could I lose 2lbs after such a BAD cheat?

And what worries me is that I will see it on the scale tomorrow. Does anyone have experience here? I rather know now than in the morning on the scale.

I should also add that the 2 days before THE CHEAT I did 2 and a half hours walking and low impact cardio and the day of THE CHEAT I did one hour walking. Maybe this helped the scale today?

    Thanks to anyone who answers/helps.

    kind regards to all

Did you eat all that stuff instead of the "allowed" food? That could easily explain the loss in spite of the cheat. You may still stall out and not lose for a couple of days, or you could gain tomorrow, or it could have no effect. Too much depends on your own chemistry and metabolism.

You will never really know what a cheat cost you because you don't know what would have happened. You may have already been ready to have some good losses that the cheat will slow down. What you ate wasn't as bad as if you had eaten a bunch of fat and or heavy carbs so you may be okay.

When you say you thought your losses have been so so and thought the losses would be faster..... what do you mean? What is your net loss (loss from first day not including what you gained on load days? I started at 250lbs and my losses have been just like everyone elses. Dr. S says that no matter how much you have to loose, you will loose at a pretty standard rate. This protocol is different than other "diets".

    Hi SminSoCal,
Thanks. I ate all the allowed food in addition to the cheat food and beer. I guess it does depend on your chemistry and metabolism and I will just have to stress until I meet the scale tomorrow :(

    Hi Linda Lou,
Thanks. My net loss is 14.7lbs in 19 VLCD days. The doctor told me I should lose 26 lbs with a 33 day VLCD (30 days on VLCD with injections). So I am a bit behind and my cheat will probably throw me off more. I hear that many people lose 1lb per day, if I take the full weight loss (including what I gained in load days) i am at an average of 1 lb a day.
What was your net loss and how many days did you take?

I lost 18lbs on a 23vlcd round the first time and my net losses so far on this round are 16.2 on my 18th vlcd.

I don't know what your doctor is basing his/her information on but while 26lbs in 30 days are possible it isn't probable. The average for a woman is 1/2lb a day. Your losses are good! I wish people wouldn't give people false hope and information.
Here's a link to a discussion on this board that will give help you see what others are experiencing. Some loose more some loose less. http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgvanillaforum/discussion/3983/7/how-much-weight-did-you-lose-during-p2/#Item_9

your queen fell off the wagon.... i have to confess! this round was tough for me since i was hungry almost every day. my last shot was sat, and even sunday morning i was quite hungry. by sunday night i had snuck into the peanut butter, and had a little low-fat cheese- and was up a pound by monday, although it was the first morning i didn't wake up starving- and my energy was much better yesterday. but by last night i was really hungry again so i decided to have 2 regular eggs for dinner, hoping the extra yolk would help fill me up. that didn't do it so i had a bit more low-fat cheese, followed by a few nuts. which led to more cheese, and more nuts... i thought i was dead in the water since my last shot hadn't been until saturday about 2pm. but i also knew i was retaining water so i took a diuretic hoping to minimize the scale shock this morning.

lost 1.4! breathing a sign of relief... i'm only .4 under my liw, but i feared being more than 2# over. hoping the extra protein will help with the water retention, although eating cheese, eggs and nuts will increase it. don't think i've ever been so happy to see P3. cheese and nuts seem to "call" to me, although i need to limit both. bought a bunch of food and hope to cook up some good stuff today. now if i can just get past those sugar cravings! normally i'd eat an apple, but i want to try this first week without fruit to see if that will help me stabilize a little better.

Did you try monkeying with your dose, Margie? Hunger is not a good sign. . .

i did, colleen. i started at 150, which is where i was last round (my best, in terms of no hunger- but also my worst in terms of stabilizing...). went up to 200 with no change. then 225, then 250. i was less hungry at 250 for a day or to, then hungry again (although not as bad as at the beginning). it's weird there can be such a difference from round to round. R1 through R4 i took 200, but was starving during R4 so i dropped my dose for R5.

It sure sounds like you didn't have any more abnormal fat to lose.
