Because of the releasing of fats on the vlcd and during the hcg injections going high fat on foods would for sure not be a good idea. In fact as stated it would probably be counter productive. I'm sure that's why we're suppose to trim off any visible fat.
I love Atkins and that's why I love P3 and P4. To me this protocol will get me to where I need to be so I can basically live on Atkins type food forever. Fat is my friend Carbs are my enemies.
bluejay83, I wasn't offended at all. I just don't understand why anyone would want to change a program that works so well. If my response was offensive, I apologize.
My post was, in part, a reaction to some recent conversations with friends.
I have a number of friends who exercise, and try to lose weight, but don't. Then I tell them about hCG. The first thing they ask is, what is the exercise program like? I say, "There isn't one, at least not during P2. If you want to exercise, you can, but it's not required". So often I hear something like, "I'm not sure how comfortable I am with a program that doesn't require exercise". Here they have the opportunity to lose 25 to 30lbs, or maybe more, in 6 weeks without the need to exercise, and they turn their nose up at it because it doesn't fit the conventional wisdom. They would rather grunt and sweat on an exercise bike or elliptical machine and get very little weight loss out of it, than to try to stick to a program for a few months and enjoy amazing benefits. It makes my head spin.
So, when you asked your question, it made me think of those friends of mine. I wondered why people can't just try the program as-is and see what happens. If the alternative methods were that great, it seems like they would be doing them.
Again, I apologize if my questions are too pointed. I'm not trying to offend anyone.
