tracy- can you find out how many units (not volume) of hcg you were getting in those shots? i think that would be a determining factor, here.

beestly- Dr. S. actually says that you will NOT get that look- you will on 500 calories without the hcg, but not with the hcg. that look is from losing skeletal fat, which is the fat that pads your heels, bones around the face, etc. But if his theory is correct, you would start to lose the "good" fat as your body became more accommodated to the hcg, after about 40 days. current research (not on hcg) shows that your body will tolerate a low-calorie diet for about 3 weeks before your metabolism will start to adapt. this is why i only do short rounds, just to be on the safe side.

i also don't agree about adding starch. but i'm not opposed to increasing calories (meat and veggies), and losing the weight more slowly. my only concern with that is whether or not it affects the re-setting of the hypothalamus. i'd love to try a round like that and test it.

many people see a rise in their losses toward the end of the 40-day round. i think your body is adjusting to the loss in the middle, and then the losses pick up again.

i agree that P2 is hard on many people- probably from muscle loss.

I'm on r1p2d36. I have not lost an ounce for 3 days. So, I was thinking of quitting this morning and then I'd have a few days to eat p3 before thanksgiving. But if I'm going to see a good drop in the next day or so, I want to continue because I'm only 2 pounds away from my r1 goal.

What should I do experts? Keep on the hhcg drops and go for that 2 extra pounds.... or stop and try again in a few weeks ? I have noticed I've been hungrier than usual. But have not cheated once.

That was exactly my experience with 40 days (i need to reread the manuscript!). I had a nine-day stall in the middle that was supremely frustrating. It also bothered me deeply that my body had gotten used to so few calories. But I'm losing a pound a day right now (knock on wood), so it makes up for it. If this weight loss keeps up, i will make it to under 200 pounds for R1.

Linda, i went to my clinic out of an emergency when the hhcg was not working. They are very reasonably priced, which i think is ethical on their part, even if other things they're doing might be questionable. I personally would never go into business doing this, there are too many variables! I think for liability reasons they are obligated to add more calories and play it safe, even if it means less-than-stellar losses.

As hard as P2 is on *my* body (bc that hasn't been everyone's experience by any means), i think in the long run it is still healthier to be thinner. I know i will recover and reset. I had gotten so dysregulated with all the extra weight and blood sugar issues. I also have a very strong feeling that subsequent rounds will go better bc my body will be more efficient at burning fat for energy.

That is ridiculous, Beestly! You do NOT get that gaunt look on 500 calories if your hcg is working. That doctor is cracked. Grrr!

mgsondance- I am going to call the clinic and get them to give me the exact HCG units per ml that they are giving out. I did ask at my first visit but the person was confused which really gave me lack of confidence as he was the one preparing the syringe's. This is the main reason I began right away seeking my own way to aquire the hcg online. Being a ICU nurse I ALWAYS know my EXACT dosage for anything I administer.....

Beestly- for me up to this point I am seeing a loss of fat in my heavy area the abd and hips! Which is very exciting for me! Wearing pants I haven't worn in 2 years!! When I was working out with a Trainer...I do know my body pretty good and will listen to its "q's" to me if It feels to hard on me. So far my energy levels are great...I only get a touch of hunger when its really time to take a moment and fuel up (meal time) but a glass of water always takes away slight feelings of hunger, at this point. I have some weight to lose...My goal was to loose 82 lbs and so to only have 65 to go just seems unreal....amazing how those numbers can really motivate you and make you realize "Wow! this is doable" I wasn't to sure about the adding starch thing...tho I have done the Cheerios cuz its been a staple of my diet forever so it sort of filled a psychological desire for other foods and made me feel less deprived so to speak. But, now I am sorta scared that it may do something to me as far as the resetting things...grrr hope not.

Yeah, i'm jealous of people who can go still go work out and stuff. I don't know why i'm so low on physical energy.

I am also losing hip and stomach fat. It doesn't really show in my face or even wrists, places where it's the first to go on fasts. I think they meant if you go over 40 on 500 calories with the hcg that will start to happen, and that's why they recommend more calories -- bc they want to offer the people the ability to go longer.

I am 5 lbs from goal weight. I am extending the 23-day round to 32 days (this includes skipping one day a week and the last three hcg-free days. I really want to go to 40-days. Does the 40-day round include the 2 load days, the once-a-week hcg-free days, and the hcg-free last three days? I don't know how to count the days (actual days or only days I've taken hcg)? Help!

I should have said I am 5 lbs from goal weight this round. I have lost very little, but I am happy with what I have lost. I am always fighting hunger. I am injecting 200. Should I continue, or call it off and do maintenance P3 and P4. I dread re-loading because I gained sooooooo much from the first load, it was discouraging.

40 days is the total of how many days you are actually on hcg. So it does include your load days but not your skip days or the last 3 days off of hcg. If you are hungry then something is wrong. I don't do injections so I can't answer about that but I do know that hunger means either your dose is off or you've hit immunity or you have lost all of your abnormal fat. Grammy or Kats could help you with the dose info.

Have you skipped a day, joyce? If not, skip a day and see if you're more hungry or less hungry. that will help us figure out if your dose is too high or too low.
