Hello, I am wondering what ppl's thoughts are on extending the diet to 53 days? Reason being when I orginally started the diet on Oct. 28 (first shot) I went to a local clinic to get the first 3 weeks shots, they had me doing shots only on Mon, Wed, and Friday skipping both sat and sun. In the mean time I have now ordered and rec'd my own HCG to mix and give and I will need to mix it and start the shots on this coming Monday, it will mix to give me 25 total shots. I hate to waste some of it and since I really haven't taken daily shots up until this Monday I was thinking I could just extend the p2 diet to complete the vial I will mix. Then take my break and start up again! I have only lost a total of 17.8 lbs and today is day 24 since first shot...I really haven't had any problems since the get go with hunger, fatigue or anything been feel pretty good actually. Just felt like I was stalling alot. But, since starting the daily shots on monday I have lost 5.2 lbs. So, I feel like wow I am really responding to the daily dose better...
Dr. S says 40 shots. You might be able to extend it okay since you only had shots every other day. Count up how many you actually had and see where it falls. 53 is a lot of days though. You would want to have a REALLY long break between rounds to make sure you don't hit immunity on the next one. Colleen
Oh hey good Idea....so just counted them up and actually it pretty much works out perfect...my 40th injection skipping sundays will end up being Dec.19 which is perfect to eat a bit more for Christmas!! I have decided drive on thru the Thanksgiving on the protocol and enjoy eating for Christmas!
Thanks for turning on the little light bulb in my head to count up the actual injections! I will certainly gauge my hunger and stop if I have to! :) Tracy
We had always said 40 days of shots then someone here on the forum pointed out that Dr. S never says that. He says 40 injections. So you can be our guinea pig and see how it goes. LOL Colleen
I wouldn't go that long on the vlcd no matter how many injections I had taken. Even if he didn't say it I think your body needs a break especially since you weren't getting the right amount of hcg in the beginning. JMHO
If you do go the 53 days I would for sure take a longer break in between than the standard 6 weeks.
Some clinics keep people on P2 all the way until they reach goal weight. I'll be curious to hear how it goes. I personally like to see what comes of people's experiments. If you lose more weight, maybe you will be happy to stay on P3 a little longer to stabilize.
