and I was very bad the weekend after i started P3. I went on a "girls' weekend" with my mom and sister and cheated. I came home 6 lbs over my last drops wt. It took me a steak day, then 5 more high protein days to get it off. Now I seem to be stablizing rt on 2 lbs over my liw--on the nose! But it was really hard to get it off. And it was not as satisfying as I thought it would be. I felt sick and I wasn't hungry...you will be shocked at how low your appetite is. In my mind, eating stuff that is not P3 approved wasn't worth it..humbly suggesting you learn from my mistake : (

Debkru, definitely "food" for thought, pun intended!! Thanks for the insight. I am sure I will not be able to eat nearly what I *think* I want to.

Your doctor sounds like a naturally thin person. Only a person like that would say have a few carbs but dont go crazy. Smoke a few cigarettes, but not the whole pack. Have a couple of glasses whiskey, but not the whole bottle.

I went to a wedding on my first day of P3 on my first round, and also decided I would eat what was there, but go easy on it. I had one small sandwich, fruits & veggies, a small piece of cake, some m&ms, 1/2 a bottle of beer, and some sparkling cider for the toast. A LOT less food and alcohol than everyone else had, so figured I'd done pretty well. I gained 6 lbs, and the steak days did not save me. I never was able to get back within the 2 pound range. I would highly recommend sticking to P3 religiously during the first week at least when your weight is most unstable. Good luck, I know it will be hard!
