Okay just thought Id throw this out there, cause there's probably others out there that feel the same or have some insight on this. which I dont???

Okay so I decided to do a steak day, just cause Im constantly hovering at just above or just below LIW...(oh Im 8th day into Phase3)

But I feel a million times happier and just almost euphoric...when I havent eaten. And i mean I felt the same way on the 500cals, happy everyday...all day....I know some get irritable on low cal, but this wasnt the case for me.

So even though Im eating super healthy on Phase 3, no sugars or starch, and lots and lots of great veggies, and fruits, etc...I have been sooooo grumpy since up'ing my cals. Like plain outright hostile towards my poor hubby, and just have been feeling very dissatified and unhappy.

Today....being back on no food waiting for my steak later, Im like full of enegry and HAPPY! Why?

Are you eating dairy and eggs every day? Either one or both could be the culprit. Sadly food intolerances are waaaayyy more common that people realize. Those two are biggies. I assume you're not eating wheat.

You also could have some sort of digestive issue that is being relieved by not eating. Has your digestive function been ok since going on P3?

I've heard doctors say people with insulin resistance actually feel better when they don't eat, but P2 should have corrected major blood sugar issues. It's worth exploring!

Ah, it's a food intolerance, hon. You're eating something that affects your mood. what have you been eating pretty much every day?

Hmmm....well I'm okay on the digestive since Ive been drinking dietric tea for awhile now and it totally helps with getting my system cleaned daily....lol TMI??? haha

What would this insulin resistance be? Thats interesting...Ive always kinda been like this, which is largely why my BAD habit with food has always been going like almost all day till about supper time....without eating, I know Bad right, cause then I am super hungry and eat eat eat and then dont have alot of time to burn it off, I feel like crap and so on.

But fact is Ive always felt lagged up, no matter what i eat....and not just dairy eggs, etc, just anything,,,it is worth looking into. thanks

Ive been eating different things...hmmm trying to think whats been the same every day....coffee...haha...although I had it today and feel totally knarly! haha

i totally gotta find out what it is, eh? maybe it is eggs....and cheese....would eggs and cheese fall under the same catagorey of intolerence, cause Ive had 'either' eggs or cheese everyday, not always on the same day...but one of these things everyday...does that make sense...that would suck to have a intorlence to them.

    Jevequart-
I can't let this pass without weighing in on the subject. I experienced the same thing, and I attributed it to this. Before I did hcg, I was slowly packing on the pounds and nothing I tried worked, even things that used to work, didn't anymore. Once I got on this diet and learned about it more, I came to the realization that I found something that works, and that there is a long term plan to keep it off.
So because of knowing that, while I was on the diet, I was so happy, actually I still am. It was sort of depressing before thinking that my destiny was to just accept the fact that I was going to get a little heavier each year.
Even when I did the steak day, I realized that this is another part of the weight maintenance part of the plan, and for every weight gain, there is a solution.
I kind of look at it like when I go exercising and when I'm done, I'm really happy. Is it the endorphins kicking in or am I just happy exercise is done and I can do something else now. In the end, it doesn't matter, just enjoy being happy.

I mostly put weight on after my daughter was born, but I had her when I was 36. Soon after that I did the atkins diet, and got down to where I am now. But then about age 45, I started to slowly gain, tried very strict atkins, but it didn't work like it did the first time. I'd lose a few pounds, then stop. No matter how much I exercised and cut back, I couldn't get past a certain weight. So mostly I think it's age that was the cause, but maybe the combo of age plus being pregnant might be the real reason. I know of a couple of women who are at least my age but never had kids who don't seem to have the weight problem. They do exercise but I wonder if they had had children, if they wouldn't still put weight on like I did.
