Ive kinda been staying right at or just below my LIW...I havent been doing the steak day since its always just under, but this morning, either its because my son woke me up a good 3 hours sooner, and I weighed myself sooner but I'm 4 lbs above my LIW. Im at the weight I normally am at the end of the day.
Anywho...steak day??
I seriously dont think Im protein deficent. So still do a steak day.
And very importantly...if I do a steak day can i have my coffee with a llittle half and half???
I ate a heck of alot of almonds yesterday, but have them almost everyday....just am getting close to TOM and was feeling the need to munch. And I did munch late into the night...again I blame getting close to TOM.
So....so I just take it easy today, and probably be down on my own tomorrow (without doing a steak day?)
Big gain for just one day. What was different for you yesterday? Is it almost time for TOM? You might just want to give yourself another day and see if you come back down just eating high protein and drink, drink, drink. Then if you are still over the magic 2-lb mark, a steak day it is. Don't forget, though, it is perfectly normal to bounce around when you begin Phase 3 for a while. I finally got it through my head to be alert, but don't panic at every little gain. Made life much easier.
Kanyenk- isnt it confusing, I mean Ive been borderline this whole time of that LIW....and at night Im always a good 5 lbs higher than my LIW which is very freaky! Thankfully I go down by morning, I have to confess I wasnt always within that 2lbs LIW in the morning...but I know know know its not that Im not getting enough protein.
It ended up being extreme swelling from nitraits (had some salami....= BAD!) anyways took a water pill, dietric tea and drank tons of water, and got back on track.
I dont know, I mean Im not like a few days within my TOM, more like a week, but its fully normal for me to feel the munchies a week in advance...Grrr...especially for chocolate, which I still have not cheated this entire diet, I know CRAZY! but Phase 3 is frustrating even still...its not really about cheating, cause even things "allowed" can cause BIG problems! ARGH I cant wait to be able to be back on Phase 2 again! :D
It's probably because you weighed so early. If you do decide to do a steak day, you can have your coffee with half and half.I've always done that. :-) Colleen
teresaf -thanks, yea Im on day 8 of Phase 3...I did already bounce around a little. I figure I know I'm eating enough protein, but Im thinking just drink lots of water and take it easy other food wise, doing a steak day at this point yea might make me lose, but Id probably re-coop that loss by the next day. Ive been consistant the last few mornings like 4 mornings, exactly 199. And my last injection weight was 197.4...so....This morning I did weigh myself 4 hours sooner than normal, and i did snack late...and I was 201.2
Jevequart- Nitrates might be a sensitivity for you, but salami is also salty and when I eat something salty for dinner or later, I always gain because I'm retaining water. I would do a normal protein day and hold off on salt as much as possible, especially at night. A 5 pound gain is not fat gain, it has to water retention. Also, a week before TOM can mean ovulation, and I always retain water for that reason too. Coffee is always allowed on steak day like grammy said.
I grew up with four sisters, and I was always glad to be a boy, but all this talk about TOM and random weight gains... Well, I'm more glad than ever to be a boy.
