    After 40 days of injections and almost 20lb loss, i started the 3 weeks no sugar and starch but "eating whatever i wanted within reason"... It is very hard to know what to eat after being so strict for 6 weeks- However, I had a tough weekend and caved by eating cookie dough late night and then WAY too much the following day- I am now up 5lbs from my lowest and know i need to do steak today but can i ever get back there? Or did i screw up the entire thing??? Also, do you take your weight from last day of injection or last day of diet before starting eating normally???

    You take your weight from you Last day of injection.

    You can get back there it just might take a couple steak days and High protein days.

    Should I just do a few steak days in a row? I was lower on last diet diet than last day injection- maybe split the difference? Thanks for comment- looking for support for this life long problem!

    Just go with your Last injection weight. I know you would love to have that lower weight but it will be hard for your body to stabilize at that weight. How many pounds are you over your last injection weight?

    From what I've been reading on P3 lounge...I read the whole thing....most people's weight ends up within a 2 pound range above their last injection weight...or last dose weight. If you are 2 pounds above your LIW or LDW then do a steak day. The first week of P3 is when your body is going haywire. So just like Erecca says....if you are within that range..do a steak day or two...if you still need to get within that range then do a high protein day....or all protein day.
    If your body is rebeling...it may take 3 days to get close to your LIW or LDW. Cheer up. All is not lost. ; )
    I ate half a cow my first week. Bessey is still giving me dirty looks.

    a steak day helps you lose water weight- and generally 2 in a row are not effective. if you weigh MORE today than 2# over your liw, do a steak day today. then just eat a lot of protein for a few days. you can't force your body back to your lowest weight, so don't try to push for that. you should stabilize roughly 2# within your liw, up or down.

    although you have many more food options in P3 than P2, it is just as important, if not more so, to not cheat in P3. if you're hungry, don't hesitate to eat more "legal" food. don't try to restrict your calories, but don't try to stuff yourself, either.

    I agree with mgsondance 2 steak days aren't effect and not fun. I would do 1 steak day then eat high protein at normal hunger times and then if need be do another steak day a day or 2 later. Everything else follow her advice she knows what she is talking about :)

    sjb, the worst thing you can do is decide all is lost and give up....don't do that!! P3 is very difficult for all of us...its just difficult in a differnt way than p2 is. You are going to fluctuate wildly, regardless of whether you play by all the rules or not.. ..but if you eat carbs, you will retain water like crazy and your weight will go up quickly. But the good news is, most will quickly come back off with a steak day, followed by high protein eating for a few days. Hang in there...you can do this!!!

    Sorry to sound ignorant but a bit unsure what p2, p3 means... I am within 1lb from LIW but up 4lbs from first day to eat normally after 3 days post injection- ... does that make sense?? I am not aware of protein day...what is that? I was under the advise of a natropath and the only direction she gave me for after my 40 days was three days diet post injections then 3 weeks no sugar and starch- 2 fruit and 2 complex carbs per day, 4 servings protein, unlimited veggies.....

    Due to a family emergency I was not able to eat "healthy" for 3 days. Not to mention the stress. Yep them cookies help bring my stress level down.I ended up 8 lbs over my stabilized weight. Steak days aren't possible for me due to low blood sugar and I have to be very alert while I drive for several hours a day. I ate high protein for the next 3 days. Brought it right back down. The main thing is not to panic. Just hunker down and get back on the protein wagon. It will come down.
