Had something funny happen tonight which helped me through a sad moment. Well, today would have been my brother Sam's birthday (47) if he had not passed away 3 years ago. Tonight we attended a concert in which his son Nathan was playing the trumpet. Nathan is a Jr. in highschool. Anyway, Sam played the trumpet too. So halfway through the concert I was so moved and sentimental that my eyes were just filling with tears. I glanced over at my sister who was sitting next to my sister in law Linda(Sam's wife). They are both in P2 of the program. My sister was carefully removing her Melba toast from its wrapper..she was showing Linda the chicken that she had stowed away in her purse in a ziplock bag! I almost burst out laughing! It really saved the day for me and made me think of all of the things we have to be thankful for. I ended the evening feeling proud and happy for Nathan instead of down in the dumps...
