OK so I have zero answers for my experience so far. Here's what happened today: I gained 1 lb ate lunch and am not hungry at all for dinner! So I do not believe immunity is an issue at all! I don't get this one bit. I will see about the scale tomorrow and post again. Please remember though I was EXTREMELY hungry when I cheated I was not having a strong craving. I know I have a craving when nothing else satisfies the need except that exact food item. This was satisfied with the foods only allowed on P2 and after many attempts with water only and Coffee which I never am hungry once I drink but I drank 2 cupfuls and I was still hungry. Anyway I will post an update tomorrow again :) hope you all like it. Thanks Emily
OK so this is probably more for me than others right now. But today I had a -.4 loss 2nd weigh in after cheat but I am still .4 above before my cheat. We will see what tomorrow holds but I did my normal skip a shot day today to see if again immunity was an issue and it is a firm NO I had no problem today I was full ate my P2 foods and thought about junk food but never was tempted for it.
So this must have been a regular bad cheat day. I must not have been hungry but I REALLY truly felt like I was. I have zero desire to do it again either, not like I did that night and I just wanted food any food at all. I wanted to be satisfied.
I hope tomorrow will be a below weight day. I only have 1 week left then I start P3 I wanted to be 17 lbs lighter by that time, I don't know why I am not losing this round (except for the obvious cheat I did) Could it be thyroid? Any thoughts on why so little weight loss this round? I could lose any where from 17-27 more pounds. I am not that close to goal weight.
emmaline- if you were less hungry skipping a shot, maybe your dose is too high for you?? if you lost on R1 and R2, it seems unlikely that your thyroid would be the issue now. and i'm assuming since you had surgery, that your doc checks that on a regular basis? if not, i'd definitely check it.
but something is up if you haven't lost anything. how were your losses at the end of R2? and your hunger? any chance that you had hit immunity at that point? how long was R1, and how much time did you take off afterward?
there is some reason you're not losing, and your hunger is probably related to that reason.
I have no insurance so thyroid checking has to wait but I did have it checked last year and every year before that for 14 years.
I lost 20 lbs my last round it was 23 days long I took 3 weeks off and started again. I had a horrible time stabilizing on P3. But again I am not hungry any more. My 1st round was at a clinic that gave me a weekly shot and I did it for 50+ days (they were horrible) I only lost 10 lbs there only to gain it all back. They had me eating 1000 calories a day and they had me on P3 while getting shots, this was before I found the forum and found out the protein shakes and all that extra stuff wasn't needed.
So, Round 2 was TERRIFIC! now this, but I feel really good not tired or weak and happy. Even worked out a little this round walking on the treadmill for 10 minutes but I could've gone longer.
One more thing to add. Regardless of immunity I would still lose weight eating only the 500 calories a day unless something else was wrong. That is why I was thinking thyroid possibly.
how much time did you take off after R1? i think we never figured out what your weekly dose was during R1, right? my guess is that you have an immunity issue here. i'm thinking you didn't take all that much time off after R1? Since you didn't lose much during R1 and then gained it back, half the loss of R2 was that same 10#, which would have come off fairly quickly.
If you never stabilized after R2 i think it was likely you were having immunity issues during that round. being hungry for this round also hints of that- although you should be losing weight even without the hcg. have you checked your fasting blood sugar? know someone who is diabetic who could do that for you? i think you're not hungry today because you basically "loaded" somewhat by cheating. i'm guessing you'll get hungry again in a couple of days.
at this point i'd probably recommend you stop, do your 3 vlcd's, and go to P3. re-introduce food very slowly, and slowly increase your calories. then i'd take at least 8 weeks off before you try this again. i think you probably started R2 too quickly, and that's why you didn't stabilize. you may have the same problem this time, even if you finish out the 23 days- that's why i'd slowly increase your calories, and slowly re-introduce different foods.
who knows- they may have been giving you very large doses during R1, and with you being on it for so long i'm guessing you were already having immunity issues by the time that ended.
hmmm... I am scared to stop before the 23 days this round though because I don't want to gain anything back. I took 4 weeks from R1 to R2. I didn't count the 10# gain in my weight loss for R2. I've been doing 200iu for R2 and R3 but I don't know what the clinic did. I read HCG doesn't last in your system more than 3 days no matter the amount you take even when doing fertility treatments.
Why I haven't I lost do you think? Again I don't feel tired, weak or irritable either. I really feel great that's why I could handle emotionally the little weight loss. Thanks soooo much for your help on this
Well, this morning I am officially 1.4lbs lower I am past my lowest weight so far on this round. Maybe it was a weight my body was set too from the past? I don't know but I do appreciate all the help and I thought long and hard about what you said above and I prayed about it too. I came to the conclusion if I keep going the worst that will happen is I will feel weak, tired, and irritable then gain back the weight I lost. If I stop I would be going against Dr S's you must go 23 days no less advice and I don't know what the worse that will happen in that case. Oh yeah I will gain back a lot more weight. So I decided I am going to keep going for now and as soon as I start feeling weak or tired then I will go into my last 3 days vlcd. I hope I am making the right decision but it is the only one that makes since to me. I will be taking a long break before my hopefully last round if you feel this is a HUGE mistake please let me know. Other wise I will continue for 7 more days Thanks for listening and it took officially 3 weigh-ins before losing all the cheat weight + some. EMily
I cheated Saturday night, gained Sunday, gained again this morning, and really hope to have some kind of loss tomorrow morning. I had hoped to be at or below 175 by the end of this round, but that's not going to happen now.
