Okay so I bought the Truvia when I started and I liked it a lot. So I went and bought the sweet leaf flavored drops...I am embarrassed to say that I spent $75 on a bunch of them. I was all excited to try them in recipes so I started off with coffee....YUCK! I am so upset. :-( It left a horrible feeling film on my tongue and tasted a lot different than the Truvia packets did...I don't know what to do except try to stomach them and just use them so at least I get my money's worth!!! I was liking my tea just fine so maybe I'll just stick with that! Maybe it will be better in things when I am in P3...Anybody having this problem???

I don't like any of the liquid stevia I've tried, flavored or plain. The powder form is far more palatable to me...

I might be in the same boat, Linds. I also bought a bunch of the flavored drops but the package hasn't arrived yet. I started out with Truvia and totally loved it but switched to Stevia after reading the postings (see the influence you guys have?!) Stevia powder is definitely OK with me although I still enjoy Truvia more. Yikes, I hope I can deal with the flavored liquid when it comes in.

Anybody out there LIKE the Sweet Leaf flavored liquid stevia?

Truvia is not allowed on P2. There are several brands for Stevia. I know here in Texas you can get it at HEB. Otherwise try whole foods or walgreens or another pharmacy.

I like the flavored stevia drops myself. I have never liked real coffee and always drank flavored coffees and cappucinos, which are nothing but sugar and creamer. I think coffee is listed ten or so on the list. But I am learning to drink coffee because of the stevia drops. My husband makes very very strong dark roast coffee. He usually has a cup of it left when he leaves for work in the morning. So I take that leftover coffee of his and use it as concentrate. In other words I take one part coffee and two parts water and add about ten drops of Vanilla creme stevia. Not bad. Now I can enjoy the benefits of coffe without all the junk or the strong after taste of coffee.

I have also used the stevia drops on strawberries. It is so yummy!!! It reminds me of eating strawberry shortcake!!!!

Truvia is not allowed on P2 ???? No one said anything about that on my very early posts during my 1st week of VLCD. I didn't switch because it was/wasn't allowed but because some posts indicated there were mixed results from using Truvia.

Sounds like there IS some ray of hope that I didn't waste my hard-earned $$$$ on all that flavored stevia. Thanks, KathyD!

Any sweetener has to be tried to see how the body reacts. Not everyone is the same. Some use Truvia with no problem and some can't use it. Same with Splenda etc.
