All, Before going on this diet, I was on a diet similar to Atkins. I used to eat anywhere from 1000 calories to 1500 calories and 3-4 days a week of vigorous exercise (tennis or Racquetball). I am still on p2.Will lose anywhere between 25-30 lbs in 43 days.
On p3 I plan to continue what I used to eat before HCG diet. Please advise if I can have the following foods:
1. Atkins or EAS shake 2. Milk products: Cottage cheese, fatfree milk with stevia 3.Meat:salmon,tilapia,catfish,shrimps and tequila chicken wings, grilled chicken marinated in sour cream, chicken curry(Indian dish),lamb, pork, beef. 4. Vegatables: okra, caulifower, lettuce, carrots, cabbage, tomato, onion, lime. 5. Fruits: apples, banana, grapes, clementines. 6. Alcohol: tequila with diet sprite, rum with diet Pepsi, vodka. 7. Fat: oil, butter.
Should I increase my calories to 1500+ or 1500-. I am 5.7" and will weigh close to 160lbs.
The only ones I know is watch the sugar in those shakes, they usually have it I know the EAS does so I wouldn't use that kind, I would drink Whole milk not fat free you are trying to reset your metabolism to a higher level than before which is why you gained the weight in the first place many women on here eat 2000+ calories a day I heard 1 went up to 5000 seriously and did not gain. Also remember alcohol is allowed in small amounts. you need to be careful of bananas and carrots too I forget why the bananas but the carrots are high carb veggie, I wouldn't try them till P4 personally.
thanks,What about Atkins shake.I just love it.it has just 1g of net carbs. I can't imagine myself eating 2000 calories on a regular basis:>:>.Yes,I can avoid carrots and bananas. Alcohol , I plan to have once every 2 weeks, mostly tequila or rum.
That should be fine for the alcohol, I don't know what is in the Atkins shake just check the ingredients for sugar and startch. I know others on here have the Atkins bars so I wouldn't be surprised that it was ok. When you eat foods the way they come naturally like whole milk, no fat free junk, then the 2000 is easier. You can't think like a dieter anymore but as a regular person with a high metabolism. You know those people that can eat anything they want, that is now YOU and the point of this protocol. Eat salads with regular dressings on it. You know all the stuff you never ate before because it was "bad" for you. Even though back in the 50's they ate it at breakfast, lunch and dinner and never gained weight. Fat is not bad for us it is the chemicals they put in the foods now a days that are bad and have caused our bodies to gain weight at HUGE amounts on regular normal real food.
peter- 1000 to 1500 is an extremely low calorie count for a guy- especially after P2. you don't say how much of those foods you will eat, but i'm guessing your protein amounts will be far too low if you limit yourself to that calorie count.
