You all ARE my friends! I love you guys. This is my home to hang out in. It's sooo life changing! I gave my friend the forum addy and told her to come check it out. Gosh, I hope she does!
Yeah gastric is BAD!!! you can only eat a extremely small portion of food for life!! that can't be good for our bodies to eat soooo little. It's basically living just above starvation Bad, Bad, Bad. I will pray for your friend that she will at least try this first before trying the expensive gastric. The cost is so small that it won't hurt to give a try before such a huge decision. Plus, you're not starving on this diet!!! Major plus
I personally feel this protocol is an answer to prayer I had. At the beginning of this year I decided to try something different instead of a new year's resolution. I decided I would fast for the first time 1 week for things I needed God's intervention on. I fasted for 3 things my financial freedom, more children to add to our family, and my health. I also fasted for my obedience to him in me, I want to do his will. This June we were given an extremely great deal to add about 3 times the amount of revenue to our current home business, item #1 check. Then recently my husband, who was against the idea, and I met a foster child and fell in love and now we are going through the paperwork to get him to our house then eventually ADOPT, item #2 check. Last but not least I prayed for a healthy body (not weight loss)I prayed my health would be changed dramatically to live to be 120 years old and still be running, literally. I prayed I would be healed from unhealthy thoughts of food and be told how to eat right. HCG was introduced to me in June by a friend and now 30 lbs later and I feel awake daily, healthy and happy. Item #3 check. I never imagined when I tried the fast that God would work in such a miraculous way but I am soooo happy I did it. I actually had forgotten about my fast until my husband came to me last month and said I feel God is telling us to Adopt this child let's do it. That's when I remembered and started thinking about the miracles that happened and I was like I can not believe the miracles that have occured this year, total and under amazement in me over God's intervention! I also found out while on my fast there is a HUGE church in the East that does a yearly 21 day fast as a whole church. The Pastor is Jentezen Franklin that was sooo helpful to read his information on it while I was going an entire week without food.
THat's what I thought too! and I have two cousins who did it and gained back their weight! So they are sick and STILL overweight by 100 pounds! Colleen

AHAHAHA! =D I love it! Okay... for someone who doesn't do very much reading... and has a short attention span, which one of your books would you first recommend? I hafta read a Grammy book!!!
BTW - you are so pretty! And your grandbaby is just precious!
tryingtomakeit -- WOW at your testimony!!! Maybe this is what I need to do.... (fast?) Do you fast certain things or everything? I need a financial breakthrough too, amongst other things (my step-children).
Well, Grammy, this explains it. I was noticing the perfect grammar and lack of spelling errors. I was wondering..."Hey, She must have found the "spell and grammer" check on here somewhere." ; )
Do you like romantic mysteries, Amy? That's what I write. So even short attention span people usually hang on to make sure the heroine doesn't end up dead! :)
Isn't my granddaughter gorgeous? Oh I'm so gone over her! Colleen
Trying - you just managed to make me cry after I read your last post! I am a firm believer in what God can do when you give everything to him & leave it there! I have seen far to many miracles with my husband over the past 3-1/2 years & I have seen God intervene so many times in my family lately. This past week or so I had to do some serious praying because with my husband waiting for a new heart & unable to work & with me taking care of him our finances are literally in ruin. I honestly do not know how we are making it month to month (well technically we aren't I just do a lot of shuffling but it is catching up fast) anyway I was doing a lot of worrying on how I was going to pay our bills car, insurance, pge, water......the basic needs bills. I had to turn the radio off on my way home from taking one of our sons to school & just pray the entire way home. I had to be willing to let go & just let God handle everything. This was a hard thing for me to do. It is in our nature to worry especially about finances because we are so afraid of making it. But I honestly just had to let go & put my trust in him like I have done with my husbands health. By the time I had made the 10 minute drive home I was totally at peace! I have a lot of bills due this week & no money to pay them. Some things are ready to be turned off or repossessed, but I am standing firm in my faith right now.
I also had prayed for strength on this diet & believe me in the past I have had absolutely no will power. BUT this time was different. Not one cheat the entire time & I know it wasn't me that did that :o) Keep up your faith & never be afraid to talk about it. People listen more than you know!! It is awesome what God is capable of! I will keep your family in my prayers as you go through the process of extending your family what an awesome reward you are getting for listening to the Lord!!!
Sorry if anyone is offended by these comments - well no actually I am not sorry but if we can tolerate off color jokes & language you can tolerate how feelings & beliefs in return.
Well let's see then, Amy. Fire Dancer is set in Mogollon Rim country in AZ. Folks love my Rock Harbor series with Samson the search and rescue dog. The first one in that series is Without a Trace. The Lonestar books are in Texas and are marriage of convenience stores with the mystery. Lonestar Sanctuary is the first in that series. Anathema is an Amish romantic mystery set in the covered bridges of Parke Co, Indiana. It just won the fiction award for Best Books of Indiana. You might like that one. It's really different.
