No to gluten-free flour! It's very starchy. What makes coconut flour and almond flour work are the low carb content. You can order them online from Bob's Red Mill or Wildnerness Family Naturals or Azure Standard, etc.

Lis, you're on a roll, babe.

I have learned a new skill. I can now burn omelettes too! I mean....I was really impressed with the bread type hocky pucks....but now eggs are on the list! Why...I can make all types of frisbees now. I can mold them into virtually any shape! The sky is the limit to the burning!

wilsong, if you do a search here on P3 foods you will get a few links that you should read. Here is one of them and I would read it entirely:

Lis, i am your competitiion in the kitchen. I ruin most things i make. This morning i ruined a giant batch of coconut flour pancakes for my family. It's just sitting there in the blender. Lesson learned the hard way: You can NOT exchange coconut flour for almond flour in recipes.

Way to go Erecca!!!! Now that took some really good control :o) I'm sooooo proud of you for being able to do that! I know that popcorn smell so well ahhhhhhhhh I can smell it now even in the hospital :/

Elaine - I'm glad to know tears help release the stress :o)

Lisa - leave those poor cows alone would ya LOL

OK so I kinda blew it this morning :( I am VERY VERY disappointed in myself! My sis-in-law & I went to Safeway before coming back to the hospital so we could bring up a few snacks for the day. There is a starbucks inside & this entire diet I have been really good about having black coffee with stevia & that is it. UNTIL today :( I gave in & had a viente white mocha WITH the whipped cream :( The one good thing about it is that I hope it will help in the potty dept!! I haven't gone all week!!! I still can't believe I did that... Someone slap me with my celery sticks please! I haven't been able to weigh in a few days but I really don't feel like I have gained. I was feeling really bloated yesterday so I ate as much protein & water as I could & by last night I felt better. Hopefully if I'm lucky my mocha will just come flowing back out & won't have a chance to affect me :/ but I promise I will behave from here on out!!

I totally forgot that we could have pork rinds on P3 so I bought some at the store to eat today while hanging out here today :) I also bought a little bag of SF peppermint patties. I know I know but I needed a litle variety right now. The hospital only has so much to choose from. Anyway I will keep everyone updated. I didnt take my laptop with me last night because I was so tired & just wanted to get there & sleep. I feel much better this morning & ready to go :)

    Nutshell,
    I hear the hospital has a great variety.............of jello. ; )

So good to hear you got some actual sleep! Can't face the day when you are so exhausted you can't think. I've become so addicted to playing on the forum playground that I've been dreaming about it....which does not lead to the most restful sleep. Not that I don't have a social life folks.....but when you've got 3 little kids...sort of limited.

About the plumbing......3600 iu's Odorless Omega 3's ..check for EPA content (natural antidepressant plus helps with cholesterol levels and skin)....plus coffee should get you moderately regular within a few days. I have no need now of the bark mulch, drano, or liquid plummer. I haven't been this excited about the potty since I got my kids out of diapers!

LOL I'm glad your not eating dirt anymore Lisa :o) I'm afraid to try any type of plumbing solutions while I'm up here. Don't want to make any mad crazy dashes through ICU to go out into the hallway to find the bathroom!!!

Just ate a really nice ginger beef stew from the cafeteria. I'm sure the sauce had things I'm not supposed to have but all the alternatives were worse!! Ok back to waiting .......................

Well, don't stew about the stew. Everything will be ok.
