Dr. S says something along the lines of occasional wine is okay. How far into P3 did you all test the waters? How much did you drink? How did it affect your weight? What was your experience with other alcohols? Thanks guys!!!
I'm going to start my second round tomorrow and I kept meaning to get to the wine but never did. I will have to make up for lost opportunity this week-end LOL
I am a huge fan of dry red wine. And I have a glass almost every night. It's caused me no problems in P3! Oh... and I did have 3 glasses one night lol. Yeah, my husband's idea =/ Not a problem from it! I had a glass and a half last night. I'm under LIW this morning.
I would NOT have white wine - it has a good bit of sugar in it. Red wine is VERY low in carbs & sugar (pretty much none). The only other thing I've drank in P3 -- patrone. BAD IDEA!!!!! I tried making a sugar free margarita with 3 shots of patrone & lime. I was at a party at a mexican restaurant! Significant gain the next morning. Stay away from tequila lol!
I'm going out dancing with a friend tonight and was contemplating asking if the bar had red wine. I like whites, but know that reds are better on the blood sugar. PLUS tomorrow I'm going to a cocktail party and was considering whether I could get away with a cocktail. I think that's less likely than the red wine to go smoothly.
I love red wine too. Thought I think it helped me pack on extra pounds. I look forward to having a glass in the future but it will be a while :O( If you haven't tried Menage a Trois, it's the best!
