a pill form of hcg isn't going to work. That's why every method of hcg gets its absorption elsewhere. I'd up the dose.

Weston - Many people find they do better without the breadstick or melba toast. I also do without them.

You said you were following the original protocol and then you had tuna one day. Some people have tried tuna and do well. Also canned chicken can have other additives and extra salt.

I understand your hunger issue and believe it is also due to a low dose.

You did very well with the loading and I know it was a challenge. I usually stay away from all those things too.

    We are here for you!!

are we supposed to measure or weigh the fruit?
  4.  # 135permalink
I think the apple should be a medium size and then its like a cup of strawberries, 1/2 grapefruit or 1 orange.

No you don't have to weigh the fruit. Here's what Dr. S says about apples: It should also be mentioned that two small apples weighing as much as one large one never the less have a higher caloric value and are therefore not allowed though there is no restriction on the size of one apple.

Hang in there ladies! I hope you get answers soon.

Today I forgot the most important thing with this diet - the hcg injection! I figured it out at 9 a.m. and I was no where near home! My heart started racing and my stomach instantly grumbled! I've hung in there, actually feel no different than yesterday so I guess today will be a skip day!

I'm down 6.8 lbs since my first load day. Today is vlcd 6 (I think!)

Fruit allowances are 1/2 grapefruit, medium apple, medium orange, or 10 1.25 inch strawberries. Can't have two smalls to replace the medium because the small fruit are sweeter than the larger ones.

Hello, I am new to this forum. I feel disappointed! Have been researching this diet for months and I am following it strictly. I feel my weight loss is very slow. I started on nov. 26 load day 1 at 162 lbs. weighed in at 164.5 on day 3. I tried to eat a lot of fatting foods, like doughnuts from shipley's. Gradual weight loss from there. Today is day 11 and I only weigh 157. A total weight loss of only 5 pounds from my first weigh in. I have been lingering for 157 for 4 days. Could I hit a plateau so early in the diet? I usually have reall good willpower, however this slow weight loss is not encouraging and motivating at all. I was excited in the beginning waking up in the morning but I have yet to see me losing a pound a day. Everyone elses stories are really inspiring and want to be successful. I need a little motivation and incentive. I would love to see a pound go down everyday and see real results. Even for just a few days. I am not giving up. I constantly review what I ate and I hope I will do better the next day. My question is how much water should I drink in this phase? I am thinking to myself perhaps I am not drinking enough water. I use organic free range fat free chicken broth with some cooking. Could that be a factor? Is sodium intake a factor? Do I need to measure and weigh my apple or 1/2 grapfruit? Do I need to weigh my handful of vegees? I am hungry from time to time. Is that normal? When I eat I am satified. Occasionally I take 1/2 a pill of phentermine for a appetite suppressent. I am using all oil free products and cosmetics. It is hard when you have a family and three kids to cook for plus a baby that needs an application of diaper cream constantly because of his teething--yes I put gloves on. I know I am rambling. Could you help me with any tips or feedback? Could I be doing anything wrong? I wanted to do this for 43 days. I hope I can endure. I am thinking about cutting the apple out of the diet all together or just eat half, it may be the apple are to big, therefore having more calories and carbs. I don't know what else to think of...help please ...thanks for any feedback!

How much weight do you need to lose, merivat? Are you following the exact Dr S protocol? What form and dose of hcg are you using?
