Thanks mgsondance, that helps. I will have to try that. I guess I've just been feeling out of sorts because my clothes aren't falling off me yet. But, I've been hearing people that have lost the same amount of weight say that theirs are. Then again, that might be because I can wear the same size within a 25-30 pound range. I have to get a grip soon because I'm being too hard on myself. Plus, I gained 15 of the nearly 18 I've lost so far in the last three months, so not enough time has past for a difference to be noticed, even though I'm at my lowest weight in 6 years.

I will start exercising more once P3 starts. I am optimistic about losing additional inches in that phase. I admit, I am chomping at the bit to get to P3 and I have 4 days left until then. I can't tell if it's hunger, or just the excitement over the explosion of variety that I can eat, and whenever I want! :)

Ok, I still am not sure what it was. I think it was part scale part carbs. So I am making sure I drink a gallon of water today . I am going to leave out 1 fruit and not do the toasts/breadsticks.

So as far as my scale- yesterday it did this: 166.6 in the am. about 2hrs after my naught taco it was 174. At about 6pm it was back to 166.6 and at bed time after eating NOTHING after my lunch malfuntion- it was 174. And I woke up to 171.8.
I did the one leg thing and it worked and gave me the right weight. And I made my hubby do it too and his weight was right. So I am just going to make sure everytime I weigh I do it with one leg first. It seems to work better that way :)

So hopefully I will be back in the 160's by Monday!

that's nuts! going up after you eat is one thing, but 7.4# seems severe. also seems weird to come down that much by eve, and even stranger to be back up to 174 by bedtime. when my first scale pulled stunts like that i learned to just get on frequently and take an average- otherwise it was too much for my heart!

holls- i can only imagine! i'd be freaking out too, no matter how much my brain tried to be objective about it.

i'm happy to report that for a few hours today i felt almost normal, for the first time in 2 weeks. tired again tonight, but not nearly as weak as i have been. of course i'm weaker when i'm losing a lot, so.... but i am plodding along a few tenths at a time and hit -89 today. but i may have to report each tenth as i do the countdown to 90! my 23rd day is monday so i can stop anytime after that- hoping that if i feel ok next week i can do a few extra days and give myself a little cushion. i'm 151 this morning, and i want to join the 140's club!!!

i think the correct term for me at this point might be "sagging" or "floppy"- but no matter what, i'll take it! i started out wearing size 3x (and some of the pants were getting tight, good grief...). now i'm easily in sz 14 or large, and some medium tops. my waist/belly pretty much determines what size i wear at this point- stuff is baggy everywhere else.

but honestly, my skin is not looking too bad considering how quickly i've lost it (9 mo), except for around my belly. THAT might require a little surgical intervention after i'm done! and if i could only get "the girls" back up on my chest, where they belong- currently they seem to prefer hanging out with my knees....

Wow Margie, that is so great. You're an inspiration for those of us that are where you were at 9 months ago!!! This news will keep me going for another couple of days foresure (wink). Actually I'm pretty committed, so don't worry...I won't be quitting any time soon!

thanks! it really is kind of amazing how fast the time went by. for those of you who are just starting i know the task can look daunting if you have a lot to lose- but try to focus on your goals for one round at a time. those ten-pound increments will start adding up and before you know it you're buying all new clothes! we have sort of a clothes chain going amongst my friends at this point- we keep passing them down to the next person who can wear them. when something is too big for all of us, it goes to goodwill or the consignment shop.

the weirdest thing is to be around people who have never known me at this size. i'm actually still about 20# heavier than i was when i first injured my back, so it's not so strange for people who have known me a long time. and since this weight is more who i thought of as "margie" all along, it doesn't feel at all weird to me. but seeing my niece at christmas is going to be fun- she's 25 now, and the last time i was this thin she was only 5.
