    Yay tannasaur! I was excited this morning as well - I'm down 4.2 (yesterday was VLCD Day 1). And I'm not hungry. I'm so happy at how I'm feeling and the results so far I could cry from happiness!

    As far as my stats - I'm 44, prior to load was at 203.8. I was actually down .2 after load, which kind of freaked me out, so I added up all the calories and fat for load day 2. I had around 4000 calories and almost 200 g of fat. If that's not enough then God help us all! I did not have hardly any sweets on load days though, I focused on high fat, high protein foods.

    I quit smoking about 7 weeks ago and gained almost 20 pounds. So I was overweight before I quit, but talk about adding insult to injury. I don't regret quitting, but I sure regret my big bootie LOL. But, on the road to fixing it.

    Wow Christy! Another successful 1st day report! It's nice that we are all in this together :)))

    By the way, can someone help me with some of this abbreviations? I know P = phase, D = day, what is r3d3? Something Day 3 but not sure what. Is there a guide someone can refer me to?

    I called the company, Amy, when mine didn't arrive when I expected them to. The entire company had a 2-day medical seminar they were attending and shipments didn't go out during that time, so they overnighted it to me for Saturday delivery at no extra cost. That's the only way I was able to start the VLCD today.

    R3D3 = HCG Round 3, Day 3 :-)

    This is the first time I've done HCG, so I'm R1 and plan on 43 day cycle.

    You'll be on it right through Thanksgiving, that's great! I am traveling for 10 days to Arizona and Colorado during the T-Day holiday so that's the only reason I'm not doing it for longer during my R1. I plan on a 6 week break then right back to it in January. I just hope I can keep everything under control for those 6 weeks!

    Yeah Thanksgiving may be rough, I guess it depends on my resolve. Thanksgiving dinner is at my house this year, so I will be cooking up a storm for my extended family. Already mentally prepping myself for it - along with the comments about what I eat or don't eat. You can keep it under control, just set your mind to it and DO IT! I like this quote: Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can. :-)

    Christy, good job. 4.2lbs first day is amazing.
    and I love that you quit smoking, it's really bad for your body.

    Thanksgiving is a tough one. I originally planned to do a 40 days but now I am only doing 23 days because I want to eat some of the really good food during thanksgiving, christmas, and new year. I will be on my p3 so I can eat anything but sugar and starch(right?)... I am a food lover, I am bad that I want to lose the weight but don't want to miss all the good food. :P

    Taking a "break" is actually a possibility for Thanksgiving. Would be limited to P3 foods tho. My plan right now is not to take a break, but knowing that it's possible is comforting for some reason. I guess it's the whole "I could eat that cookie if I wanted too, but I choose not too" thing LOL.

    Thought I would join this group. I am on Day 3 and 1st day of VLCD (never had done this before, had lost 85 pounds on Weight Watchers and have gained 39.5 of it back). I have about 39.5 pounds to lose. I only gained 1 pound my first load day and lost my 2nd??? i ate alot of fattening food, so I hope my hunger isnt effecting because of not putting enough on in the load days.
