It's the difference in glycemic index. Agave is 27 and honey is 83: http://www.blueagavenectar.com/glycemicindexofsugars.html

I also start P4 tomorrow, so this thread will definitely come in handy! Thanks for starting it! I'm wondering what to add in first....I can't stand oatmeal, so that's out....hmmmmm...gotta think on that one!

I started P4 today and had oatmeal for breakfast...I bought the instant low sugar diet with cinnamon and added nothing it was pretty dry but I didn't have any milk to add so the rest of the day don't eat anymore starches is that right ? and I can have rice right away? So to start only add one starch for one meal a day right ? I did pretty well in p3 (except for too much sugar free for a few days and had to get that off asap) waited a few extra days to start p4 because I wanted the scale down a little before I started and so today I was ready and we'll see what tomorrow brings, hope its good!!!

I would be careful with the instant, more processed items. I would choose regular oatmeal etc. You might want to try sprouted grain products like ezekiel bread. It is flourless and a nice chewy texture. If you want to try cereal I would go with things like Kashi products.

Ive added no preservative good quality granola from the health food store with no problem. And last night I ate a bag of pumpkin seeds at the movie. So far so good. Ive been using the granola as a munchy. That works well for me.
I do believe that water is the key to maintaining your weight. LOTS and LOTS of water.

Does anyone have a good bread machine recipe for a super healthy whole grain bread? Ive decided to make my own, rather than buy it at the store for an arm and a leg.

susiered...I would be careful with white rice....I had some with sushi and I gained. It is very high glycemic. If you want rice, I would try whole grain, long grain, but not white rice
