    You all should try the Ezekiel tortillas - they are sprouted grains and so good. Before I started this Round i used them as pizza crust -- a little chewy that way but good for you! LA

    Steak day for me..... I dont think I will EVER be able to eat normal.Technically I am 7.6 over my real LIW. But decided after having to do a steak day every other day in p3 I needed to stabilize 4 lbs higher. I stayed at that for about 5 days. Then gained again so I was just barely under my new 2 pounds and today, WHAAAALAAA I am way over..... I dont eat SF stuff, processed stuff. Looks like I will be doing ANOTHER (3rd round) to get this weight back off...

    Same for me today up 2lbs. overnight !!! just barely lost TOM weight now its right back again...frustrated about this. I ate the pizza yesterday for lunch and dinner so Im thinkin not enough protein because a few slices of canadian bacon and pepperoni isnt enough for all day, so ill eat more protein today and see what happens!!! Talk later gotta get ready for church and hope I can concentrate and not be upset about this!!!

    Kristi thats kinda how I feel, I can eat high protein and i'm ok if I slack off like yesterday which I had not done before theres another weight gain, I feel like I will never get this right. I'm not much for eating so much meat and figured I didn't need that much so I was hoping the few slices on the pizza would be enough but very obviously not so Ill do steak today too ;(

    I focus a lot on protein and veggies. I forget my fruit every now and again but I make sure at lunch and dinner I get at leat 6oz of protein. i took out all the dairy and added to back in slowly (3 days before something new). We can be lost together :(

    p4 takes alot of patience, and trial and error. I am still trying to be careful with carbs. I think they basically cause water retention, whenever I eat them. Some more than others. Hang in there...it will get better. Your body will calm down a bit, and adjust to the new foods.

    We also need to make sure that we are eating enough calories and still drinking plenty of water. I started P4 out of town - eating out EVERY meal. I did fine. Got back home and hello - here is a pound and a half for your trouble. LOL. Then it was pointed out to me that I'm not eating as many cals this week - and I'm back into my workout routine. When I looked, my intake minus my workouts was less than my BMR for half of the week!

    As for adding things in.. my practitioner told me to start with starchy veggies, then add in brown or wild rice. I can have the veggies as many days as I want but the rice or pasta (whole grain) three times per week - and only one starch per day for now. I'm also gluten intolerant and we are in the process of trying to clear that one out but...

    I've been trying to figure out the correct ratios of fat/carb/protein too but I can't seem to find a "formula" anywhere. I think it's mostly just trial and error and listening to our bodies - trying to determine a balance that will keep our weight in check and our energy up!

    The starch I have had lately is ezekial bread for breakfast and the rest of the day I eat like p3..a few weeks earlier I was already adding in tortilla chips a few times a week and did ok so I'm confused why the gain now but it most likely water retention as barb says but I will try to get these 2 off that that came so suddenly this morning and I know it cant be weight gain cause I ate low starch yesterday just not enough protein but how do you get alot of protein with pizza? I had gotten all my water in too and if I hadnt would blame that...well I had eaten breakfast already so couldnt do steak day just focusing on high protein, why is that so hard? Guess Im not used to it. My dr. did not tell me anything about p4 I've been getting all my info here, but I'll try what you said katmomma and see how that goes...im in week 4 or is it 5 and thought it would be easier by now. Barb I know patience but its hard when you feel like your lost and don't know where to go from here. I wont be havin pizza for awhile;( Kristi I dont have fruit nearly everyday either and dairy seems to be fine, yes lost is exactly right Kristi...oh well who ever said life was easy? I envy those who can eat everything and stay thin!! Thanks ladies for advise and listening.

    How you doing today Susie? My steak day brought me down to 1 pound above my LIW yay. I dunno what to do from here though.... Maybe try a bite or 2 of potatoes?
