I am so sad right now. I am currently 9 lbs over my LIW! :( I can't seem to get myself back down. I do a steak day- not enough comes off to make up for the previous day weight gain. I will eat a lot of protein the next day to avoid 2 steak days in a row and will gain another lb. Yesterday I gained another 4 lbs! I am on the verge of tears...I worked some hard in Phase 2 and this is where I land? My husband did the protocol with me and has stabilized and even lost a lb here or there for 6 days now. My TOM is very near, but it still shouldn't account for 9 lbs!!! I feel extremely bloated and puffy! :(
I just need some inspiration to keep on the right track.. I am currently on P3 day 12. HELP! :(
Maybe, but not until after the first of the year. I am not going to set myself up for failure around the holidays.
I have been a size 10, athletic person for quite some time, but always wanted to be in the 150's.I usually weighed between 162- 165. I had gained 10 lbs and wanted to get it off, so I did this protocol. My last day of the VLCD I was at 153.9!! My last HCG weight was 155.5. I weighed 164.5 this morning--uughhh!
I even started only power walking for 15 minutes, because I didn't want to reset my metabolism thinking that I had to exercise everyday in order to maintain.
cadwellfamily-maybe your scale is broken. ;) I know it's hard but I had to do 2 steak days in a row and dropped 4 lbs. Are you drinking a lot of water?
I did right away. i did maintain and i'm back on the hcg i'm on my 8th day and i've lost 7 lbs. i'm still losing. i just don't ever want to go on vacation anymore cause i know i can't control my eating but when i do eat, it's not a lot. I can't eat that much anymore even if i wanted to cause i'm so full.
Caldwellfamily...ok, part of your problem is TOM, as you suggested...you need to get thru that and I bet you will lose at least 2 pounds in water, esp if you feel puffy now. Also, yes, you can do 2 steak days in a row...or you can do straight high protein days...either should help you...or you can alternate high protein,,then steak..etc. Finally, you mentioned your body wants to return to a weight in the 160's that you were at for a period of time. I believe your body is fighting your new weight in favor of returning to this old set point. You need to get back down into the 150's and hold it there for awhile...it will be difficult because it is so close to an old set point, but you can do it. Other than that, just do another round and drop into the 140's, effectively bypassing the old set point problem....you can get thru this....I had the same problem with an old set point. Your body will give in eventually. :)))
